El Presidente Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 i am heading off with my son Tom for his volleyball game now ( yes...it is 6:30 am ).....back home around 10am, pop into the office ...a little work and then head off to Nate "blue suede shoes" house for lunch with his lovely wife Julianne and new bubs Phoenix. Nate is building his "mans shed" and i am looking forward to seeing how it is going. Tomorrow morning off to the Christening of my Nephew..of which I am to be Godfather ...I love young Hudson very much. He has all the cool and calm disposition of Damien (The Omen) and i can see why I was drafted in as the overseer What are you up to?
Stanislaw Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 congrats, Godfather! i'm godfather to three boys and cannot wait until they turn 13 and ask about sex and I ruin all the hard work their parents did with them.... I like to build guitar effects pedals as a hobby and since the weather in NYC is still ridiculously cold I intend to stay inside and build some pedals, play some guitar, maybe hit a museum or two... (sigh) when is summer already?
Hafner32 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I will be prepping for the massive amount of snow we are expected to get on Sunday into Monday. They are calling for 12"-18" to fall over a rather short period of time. Beyond that, hoping to have the family over tomorrow for a few beers, a few laughs, and hopefully a few cigars.
Skyfall Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 How many kids are you Godfather of Rob??? Geeez, Dom, now Hudson. Who else? Are you grooming your own future work force "sweat shop"???
AndrewNR Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Sounds like a beautiful mix of business and pleasure. Be good trotting around with the sprites and seeing mates. I've got an unusual weekend, Yesterday I did my last shift at my evening job and Wednesday just gone signified my last shift at my morning job. This weekend I'm packing and putting my affairs and motorcycles in order before I head over seas to Italy for 3 months. Long story, Thats about as much planning as I've done. Tonight I have a vintage and classic vehicle show and shine locally supporting Cancer Council so I'm intending to enter 3 of my motorcycles and maybe take an award before I go. Tomorrow there's a vintage car show at a small winery with booze and pizzas etc so I'll probably ride the chopper out to that and enjoy a bit of my "retirement" before I go. And now.. I think I;m going to dress up like Batman and go say goodbye to my former employee's.. Yeah, I consider myself a pretty normal, balanced individual.
Hohenthal Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Glad to hear/read that you are comitted to family so much regardless of the ever increasing demands of your work Cheers, Alex
potpest Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Nothing too interesting for me...Smoking a cazadores tonight listening to Pink Floyd then heading to bed pretty early. Workout tomorrow morning then hitting a few bars in town catching up with some of the boys from Uni. Sunday will be spent recovering with a decent late lunch and a Double Corona.
Squarehead Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Tomorrow I'll be going to a Cigarshop near me(30min.drive)There's entertainment(music),cigar rolling demo and smoking inside. On sunday I'll be in Ice Hockey Arenas to watch my grandsons(11&9) play hockey. The older one has 1 game and the younger one has two. It's always fun to watch them play and they realy appreciate when I come to their games.BTW they also play icehockey in the summer. Congrats to you Rob for being a Godfather.
Lotusguy Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Today is my 5th wedding anniversary. I am making cheese fondue for us with candlelight, et cetera 1
ayepatz Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Last weekend before hitting the road again, so lots of catching up with mates. Night out tomorrow, then big roast dinner at home on Sunday night with pals. Serving some juicy Bordeaux I've been saving, followed by some Don Alejandros in the new man shed. Can't wait!
Hypersomniac Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Tonight I am loading up a trailer with all of my belongings with the help of some friends. Tomorrow I move into a new apartment. It will be good to have my own place again.
kwsaw63 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Flying up to HK for the weekend. Sunday brunch with some good mates before I flop into the evening flight back to Singapore.
Knilas Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm working all w/e. But I'm sure I'll fit in a smoke or two...or three. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
jacktarnold Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Today is my 5th wedding anniversary. I am making cheese fondue for us with candlelight, et cetera Congrats in the anniversary. The wife and I are going out to dinner and then going to enjoy a cigar and a dram around the firepit at the bar we are going to. Long crappy week and needing a nice night with the wife.
KoreanCowboy Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm hitting a cigar lounge in Kalamazoo MI. The shop is in a terribly run down area but has the best selection of NC within 100 mile radius of me. After that I'll be taking my 3 yo daughter to a little school carnival. Should be a nice little Saturday. 1
Simps Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm about to go to my second salsa dance lesson with the girlfriend. Her idea not mine, but if I'm being honest it's not half bad. I'm on my second glass of wine which should help me shake the crushing "white man can't dance" stereotype... Or something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
ZAZ Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Going to relax this weekend with a few smokes and a few Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans. 1
Newkarian Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 On call all weekend for OB anesthesia. Will sneak in a cigar or two if things are quiet. Soccer in the am with the boy and dinner with neighbors. 1
GnarlyEggs Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I will be prepping for the massive amount of snow we are expected to get on Sunday into Monday. They are calling for 12"-18" to fall over a rather short period of time. Beyond that, hoping to have the family over tomorrow for a few beers, a few laughs, and hopefully a few cigars. Tell me about it. Not excited at all! I was hoping spring would be coming soon.
AndrewNR Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Blew the gas cap but took out loudest bike of the show, 139db. Had two others entered too but didn't get "Best dressed bike" or "Best old school" Next time. Now I need to go wash it and put all the parts back on that vibrated off in the competition.
westg Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 In Bali celebrating my wife's 40th birthday...having so much fun
jat Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Bought a house in Brisbane (Yeronga) as an investment, so I'll just have to cut down on everything else to keep the cigars coming.
