DRUNK FAN CALLS 999 AFTER MAN U CUP DEFEAT

23rd January, 2014 by Lauren May

A drunken Manchester United fan dialled 999 and demanded to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson after the team’s cup defeat last night.

alex-ferguson2.jpgThe inebriated fan called the emergency services in distress asking to speak to the former manager of the club Sir Alex Ferguson, to discuss the team’s 2-1 defeat against Sunderland last night which sent the team crashing out of the league cup.

The bizarre phone call was received by Manchester Police just moments after the match had ended.

This morning the Greater Manchester Police posted a comment about the amusing incident on their Facebook page this morning.

It said: “Last night, at approximately 22.30pm a man from the Crumpsall area of North Manchester rang 999 in a drunken state demanding to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson about last night’s result.

“Obviously, it can be a sad and depressing moment when you’re football team loses a game, however can we all please remember that 999 is to be used for emergencies only. For any other police related enquiries that are not an emergency, you can ring 101.

“If you would like to speak to Sir Alex about recent football results we here at GMP Manchester North can only suggest you try ringing Manchester United FC directly as you will probably (not definitely) have a much better chance of getting through to him there rather than ringing the police.”

I think moyes is still the right guy for the job, it took sir Alex 3 years, a ton of money and dumping most of big ron's big names before he turned things around and out his own stamp on things, the fans hated sir Alex to start with.

Moyes has been working tirelessly to get NEverton above Manyoo on the table and he has finally done it.

He has also, in his time as a premier league manager, never won a game at Anfield, Stamford Bridge or the Emirates...
