Optic101 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Was looking for the first edition or reprint of this book for quite a time. On my birthday in the morning, actually just past Midnight my lovely wife prepared a surprise celebration. And as she likes to do she handed present after present to me. Starting with a small package, getting bigger and the last one a heavy box. I opened and was speechless. MRN's Book from 2003. Knowing her she must have searched around the world to find it. For sure I ask how, where, who … and for sure she is not telling me. The only answer I got, … yes and I got it at a bargain …. Not the first time she surprised me in such a way. Oh yes, my question. Does anyone know if the Signature is a print or if it could be a signed copy.
shlomo Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 pretty book. congrats! cant help with the sig, but either way a nice present!
oliverdst Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Great gift. How did she know about it? Have you mention it with her? The signature is printed. (not being a real one) It doesn't take any value to the real value of the book: its knowledge.
Optic101 Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 Thanks to all of you. Was just curious. I would be also very happy with the reprint. @Oliver, yes she knew I was looking for it.
Ryan Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 It would have been nice if it was a real signature! Nonetheless, it's a great book. Great pictures and information. Well done wife!
Congratulations to your wife, she searched high and low for the book and deserves the success !!
Ginseng Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 What a treat! The book is an icon in the Habanophile's library. Congratulations. Wilkey
Edwhatever Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Its a Print. The only way to get a real signature is if you were his close friend, and was invited to his home, where he will sit beside his fireplace, and sign it with a personal message.

Why do I have a picture of a older gentleman with nothing but a dressing gown giving a suggestive look in my mind when I read this. And no it's not just cause I have a perverse mind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pedro2486 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 The famous BoPCNWoWLGaCoTwdnRU? Go on tell me what that acronym stands for. I thought I'd gone dyslexic for a sec there. Personal opinions on the man and his attitude aside. What I've seen of these books, both new and old, the photography looks fantastic. Credit where credits due. But yeah, ........!
