El Presidente Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 you'll never know how often i have refrained. and how much it hurts. what is funny is that a little while ago, i thought of raising this to see what people thought, especially in america as we get a different view at times. but i decided it definitely was too inflammatory. and yes, inflammation is a word (at least it is if you spell it correctly). Dear Dufus I was referring to Inflamator....and if it is not a word then in the Oxford dictionary it should be adopted with your picture attached!
El Presidente Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 ..and this is the worst thread I posted since "Roman Polanski...what do you think"
khomeinist Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Any thread involving references to a certain columnist previously employed by Marvin Shanken is by definition going to be worse. This is nothing!
Ken Gargett Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Dear Dufus I was referring to Inflamator....and if it is not a word then in the Oxford dictionary it should be adopted with your picture attached! dear dufus yourself, you posted, and i quote, ".....if we wanted inflamation (not a word I know) " , so forgive me for thinking that might have been the word to which you were referring, especially as no indication whatsoever you might have been referring to anything else (spelt correctly or otherwise). i was only thinking about that polanski thread the other evening. doco was on and it reminded me. i still think the post from the bloke who said, 'well we've all been there', is the most jaw-dropping one ever on this forum.

The Roman Polanski thread was one of the most contentious of FOH history! I had no idea people were so pro Polanski in relation to the matter. Still can't understand it but it taught me to be more cautious what I posted. ...maybe not

Rushman Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Ok folks. Let's all take a chill pill and ponder this for one moment. Let's take all this collective effort and hot friggin air and use it for good. Let's debate ways in which we can actually improve peoples lives. Changing the gd name won't accomplish anything, nor will arguing for it to stay. So to that end, I will provide this topic for us to debate, ponder and hopefully solve: Collectively as a community, how can we make a substantial impact to the work that freefallguy does with his Nicaraguan feed the children mission? How can we add to the wonderful work Pres does by contributing money from box sales, what the killer Canadian herfs have done with auctions, etc. How do we add to this in a meaningful way? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=19.390043,-81.404453

Instead of buying another box of your favourite cigars, donate the amount to the effort.

Ken Gargett Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 all genuinely good thoughts, of course, but has any thread ever got so lost. "so what do you think of your footy team's nickname" has gone to genocide, natural selection, roman polanski and now here.
Skyfall Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 When you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, what kind of jelly do you prefer? I used to be a grape man, but now I am more huckleberry.
Fuzz Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 We're working hard to make this the most sidetracked post on FOH!
andy Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Still comes down to a vocal minority who are not redskins fans, interfering. Comment was also made that the name Washington Redskins was an embarasment. Who to, certainly not to the millions of Washington Redskin fans. Outside of the USA the term Washington Redskins would be seen as a celebration of your past culture.

Now if I were a Giant fan I would be offended about such a feeble team representing big folks everywhere.
Ken Gargett Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I wear my Redskins jersey proudly every Sunday. Now if I were a Giant fan I would be offended about such a feeble team representing big folks everywhere. knock knock. who's there? owen. owen who? 0 and 6.
Skyfall Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Cowboys & Giants: Knock Knock. Redskins: Who's there? Cowboys & Giants: Super Bowls since '91. Redskins: Super Bowls since '91 who??? Cowboys & Giants: Exactly, you wouldn't know! (x5)

(x5) nice year to pick! just pull that out of the air? i can say that the skins have won the bowl every year i have lived there. two things - clearly that skins team would have whomped any of those giants cowgirl teams. and more importantly, clearly the next team to win a bowl from this division will be the skins. and probably a string of them!!
