MC4 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I haven't been able to find many or any reviews of the R. Allones Petit Belicosos ER 2012. Has anybody tried these, and if so, any good? Thank you
ramon_cojones Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I've heard they are disappointing which is too bad because I like the size.
ChanceSchmerr Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I enjoyed one with Onsto that he gifted me a few weeks back. Quite a tasty cigar, actually. We both enjoyed it, IIRC.
dangolf18 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Great flavor, slightly underfilled though. Wish it were a normal belicoso as the taste is great.
Onsto Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Per Chris' commentary, I've smoked 4 or 5. Like them very much, definitely medium full and rich. Still young though, I'm sitting on the remainder of the box that I'll age and see how they go. I have a positive predisposition to the RA RE flavour profile though, so take that into account. I didn't enjoy the Superiores as much (not sure why but they didn't do it for me, only smoked two so not a good sample size), or the RA Extra (inconsistent construction with these rather than flavour). The Petit Beli in a box of 10 is an easy decision financially and I'm sure will be easy to move on if they aren't to your liking. In general I've liked the UK RE very much, I think they're a solid second place to Germany.
sactochris Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I like them very much, but not nearly as much as I like the superiores.
Lotusguy Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Good stick. Not as good as the RA Belicosos Extra Alemana or the French RE version (I still think they are the same cigars), but good. Still young. The Superiores are a better value, though.
