MONTECRISTO66 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I AM MALCOLM FROM CHESAPEAKE. I HAVE MONITORING THE FORUM FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS SINCE MY FRIEND COGNACSCOTCHCIGARS REFERENCED ME TO THIS FORUM. ALOT OF KNOWLEDGE HERE. I HAVE A QUESTION. I AM CURRENTLY STAYING IN A HOTEL ROOM AND I HAVE SEVERAL BOXES OF CIGARS WITH ME. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STORE THEM? I HAVE THEM IN BOXES WITH THE TUBES WITH DISTILLED WATER IN THEM. I WAS LOOKING FOR SOME ADVICE IN THE BEST WAY TO STORE BOXES OF CIGARS. I TRAVEL FREQUENTLY AND STAY IN HOTEL ROOMS. I AM LOOKING FOR SOME ADVICE ON HOW I SHOULD STORE BOXES OF CIGARS IN A HOTEL ROOM WITHOUT BUYING A BIG HUMIDOR. THANKS FOR THE HELP. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE RESULTS.
cognacscotchcigars Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Welcome. I am glad you introduced yourself to the forum.
Ssmith114 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Welcome! If your not smoking boxes of cigars on every trip then just take what your planning to smoke and buy a xikar travel humidor.. They come in a bunch a different sizes from 5 cigars to I believe 80 cigars.. That will prob be your best bet for keeping them in their proper conditions..
finecigar Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Welcome to FOH Malcolm. I would suggest to get a hard case travel humidor, and then use a boveda pack for humidity inside.
canadianbeaver Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hello and welcome. Tupperware or ziplock bags. Lisa
MONTECRISTO66 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to learning a lot about cigars through the forum and sharing my cigar experiences with the forum. I will ensure that I keep the "CAPS LOCK" off on future entries.
Ginseng Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Welcome from NoVa. When I travel, I just use a Pelican-case type traveldor. Any brand will do. Just throw in a humipack if you'll be on the road for a while and you will be fine. Most times, I just breath moist air in once a day and all is good. Wilkey
