dicko Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 It's a sad time. It's nice looking back on the good cigars and some of the times in life this box has seen. Last 2 years of uni, first 2 years or work. A couple of girlfriends. Lots of good footy matches. Partagas 898 MUA 09 Some very adequate replacements literally just fell in my lap. My housemate found these at the sidedoor(we have two "front doors" I use the other)... What are your thoughts on ending a great box?
Phillys Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Seeing an old friend leave is sad, but it is an opportunity to get new ones.
jrb5783 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Buy another I flew a box of trini Reyes and to get more speaking of which
maverickdrinker Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I try to buy 2 boxes. one to smoke and one to age..... Always sad to see a box come to an end however, the joy of opening a new box counter balances it.
Hubba Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I always like to hold a moment of silence before smoking the last from a box.
TheGipper Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I know the feeling. Down to my last Petit Corona del Punch from a FKC JUL 04 box. Might be the best single box I've ever had. All 24 so far have been perfect.
SerieT Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 its a sad feeling when you finish a box! but looking back on the great memories that the box has brought its absolutely priceless
Lotusguy Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Well, usually I just grab the next box from one of my coolers
bolivr Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I take a long time to get through the final 5 or so to make them last. Also soften the blow by making space in the Humi by taking the last couple into the desktop. That final smoke is a special one though.
frenchkiwi Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 it's a bit like a funeral. i generally hide the last few away in another box or at the bottom of my singles humidor. then when i stumble on them later i get a sense of happiness rather than despair.
dvickery Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 nothing is sacred...if its the last cigar in the box and I feel like smoking it...hasta la vista baby. no regrets...just open another box. derrek
Jeremy Festa Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Yes! Loathe seeing the end of a good box. Which is the offset to the experience of realizing you have a good'ne! Everything comes at a price, Swings and roundabouts.
polarbear Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I've got that many half full boxes of cigars purely because when I reach that halfway point in a box I genreally stop smoking it. I hate finishing boxes
bugman78629 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 All good things must come to an end................ So buy 3-4 boxes next time........
