Hafner32 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Great review and pics! Have 2 boxes of these that I've been patiently let rest. Although it's getting harder to leave them alone with all these great reviews. I agree, have 2 boxes in the humi resting. Had a few singles that I burned through and loved. Deciding whether to crack open a box now and then pick up another for aging.
EuroTrash Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I love these. Distinct toasted nut flavour from the start like I have never tasted in anything else. Waiting on a box any day now.
jdo2110 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Okay guys, question: Are the RRs similar to the Mag 50? I had a box of ten, and they were very underwhelming. They had ALL of the flavor types that seem to be typical of H. Upp, but they weren't very forthcoming. They were such a beautiful and well constructed cigar, that I even tried to age them a litte... Nothing! Did I get a bad box? Yellot00tr mentioned that he had a couple of boxes of the RRs, and it peaked my interest, but I'm a little reluctant to pull the trigger. Somebody help me out so I can spend more money that my wife will get mad at me for : )

You'll want to age them as long as you can though; the first couple I had were a bit of a let-down, but this was from the last in the box and was about a year old when I got to it, and it was much better by then. If you're considering it, best to sit on them as long as possible. I could see the RR really hitting its stride in about 2-3 years.
Optic101 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Hi guys, Any suggestion which one to get. Januar 12 or October 12. Thanks a lot.
galtline Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 This is my favorite cigar right now ! Just Incredible bought Two boxes from Rob last week. Insane !
GammerSmokes Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Agree to this review! Had one of 5 (did a box split from another forum) and loved it. Can tell it needs a little more ageing but smoked like a gem!! Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
potpest Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I smoked the single I had in the humi on Friday night and was blown away....definitely picking up a couple of boxes with my next order, a great cigar.
olotti Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I've had great luck with mid to late 12' boxes and they've all smoked great, amazing flavor, body and mouthfeel.
Hiroshiro Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I have two boxes from OCT 12. I haven't lit one up but I should give it more time?
killd1 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I had one of these a few weeks ago from a JAN 13 box and found it to be young and not living up to the hype of the reviews I've seen all over. Not sure if it was just a dud cigar or more recent production is not up to par of the previous years. I won't be having another one until at least April.
Reevzy Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Great review. I had one of these last night out of the 12 days of Christmas sampler and to me it was a very sweet citrus kind of thing. You know when you want to describe a flavour and you say "I want to say....". Well I want to say orange blossom, not just orange but the words orange blossom was in the forefront of my mind, I have no idea why. I remember once seeing a review where Smithy used the description of "that candy shell of a Jaffa" and I was kind of thinking that about it but ended up with orange blossom. All in all a very enjoyable cigar which went right down to burnt finger territory.
Laxman Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Great review. Have two boxes from Czar not sure of the codes. Smoked one so far and it smoked well but did not blow me away. Smoked an Edmundo I got in a sampler pack last night that caught me totally by surprise. Had smoked a few in the past and was never impressed but this one blew my mind! In all fairness to the HU RR's the one I smoked was not more then 40 days stored for its trip to my humidor. Usually seems to take 90 days plus for me to open up for some reason so I will revisit it in another month or two.
dowjr1 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I had a 10 box of Mag 50s with a very light wrapper and was quite disappointed by them. Smoked a few and then let the rest sit a year and still no improvement. Soured me on them a bit.
FREDGOLD Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I was looking to get a box of these. Your review has sealed the deal.
