frenchkiwi, i dub thee the most unhelpful of responders.

though in one of your answers, you actually touched on the truth. you need to be more specific.

actually, a few of these need just a smidge of lateral thought. and no, not one of the moore films.

I edited Never say Never answer above.

Several of the Bond girls had their voices dubbed. All by the same woman, Nikki van der Zyl. Which girls were dubbed?

so that's why so many bond girls all have this generic voice - i can hear it in my head now when they say "James!"

Tanya Roberts had a pretty unique squeal in her voice when she shouted, "James!"

Bond was never in London for License to Kill. Florida and then Sth or Central America after that.

edit: Now that I think about it more, Bond wasn't in London during You Only Live Twice either. HK and then Japan.

live and let die?

Correct. Well by my memory anyway. That was the most memorable Roger Moore one for me, because of the non-white New Orleans, Caribbean etc settings, the voodoo stuff, and the atypical plot. It was an exotic Bond, if you see what i mean. I wouldn't mind seeing it again it's probably been 15-20years!!

there were plenty of bad guys who were associated with the russians/KGB and also organisations ditto. what i was after was the names of the films where the main protagonists, not side issues etc, were not the russians/KGB. so if i understand you corrrectly, you are suggesting that all films other than 'living daylights' and 'live and let die' fall into that category. thoe two yes, but that is not a complete answer.

Now that I think about it. I don't think any Bond film had the Russians or KGB as the main villain. They have always been either SPECTRE agents, Blofeld, or individuals (Goldfinger, Drax, Kristatos, Stromberg, Zorin, etc).

Well... maybe not Ocotpussy. That was Kamal Khan and General Orlov.

A lot of actors have appeared more than once in the series, in different roles. Who has appeared more than anyone else? What else has he had to do with the series?

gadget dude. Q? don't know what else he's done - become a writer or a producer?

that is correct. in no 007 film is the main protaagonists either the russians or the KGB.

fuzz, i have no idea who he is. you metioned him.

I thought you said he did something else to do with the Bond series?

The wine guy was in 3 Bond films. He was drinking on the beach when Bond drove the Lotus out of the water, in Moonraker he got a bottle of wine poured on him in the square in Venice when Bond drives past in the gondola, and he was in For Your Eyes Only when Bond is escaping after the ski jump.

Bob Simmons played the supposedly dead Colonel/then his widow, with whom 007 fights, and kills (after attending the funeral), at the beginning of 'Thunderball'. He also appeared in a crucial role in the first three films. What was that role?

Felix Lighter, you old rogue?

Which film was written by Roahl Dahl?

Live and let die seems dark enough for Roahl?

Tina Turner sang the theme to 'Goldeneye'. Who wrote it?

John Barrie?

This is largely replicated in which subsequent 007 film and with what painting?

Casino Royale, bond sits with Q admiring the Turner of the frigate being pulled to shore to be scrapped....Beautiful painting who's title escapes me. Edit...it was actually Skyfall, I think.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Michael Wilson the producer played numerous roles in different films (extra roles but he was always credited).

I know he played a soldier at Fort Knox in Goldfinger and a Russian minister in Goldeneye (those are 2 that I can remember from DVD commentaries but I'm sure he's done a few more, I think I remember him being in moonraker too but can't remember what as)

Roger Moore's daughter plays a BA hostie in Die Another Day and serves bond a martini while he flies back to London (I think this is also the only time a punk song was played in Bond as the Clash's London Calling plays during this scene)!

Bob Simmons was the figure that shoots down the gun barrel in the opening credits of first 3 films

Ian Flemings cousin is Christopher Lee, who played Scaramanga in the man with (3 nipples and) the golden gun!

Lazenby was offered a 007 film deal :P

-In which films does Connery smokes cigars?

Sean Connery is smoking cigar in none of the "official" Bond, he prefers cigarettes, though he's smoking cigar in "Never say never again".

The cousin of Ian Fleming is Christopher Lee and he had a third nipple in "The man with the golden gun".

- At the beginning of 'You Only Live Twice', an actress called Tsai Chin plays the role of the girl who helps 007 fake his death. She appears in another 007 movie. Which movie and as what? A clue? Different Bonds and a reasonable time gap.

Sook Me in "The man with the golden gun"?

As for the movies where Bond doesn't drive, i think of "You only live twice" where he have a driver as representant of Universal Export, and he's being drive in the only Toyota 2000 GT convertible by the lovely japanese secret agent. In "Diamonds are forever" Sean Connery drive a moon jeep but I don't think he's driving a car. I don't recall Roger Moore driving in "Live and let die". As for the Bond after "A view to a kill" i don't remember as well as the previous.

I remember the arms dealer in Living Daylights played Bond's CIA contact in GoldenEye. Don't know the actor's name though.

Still don't know who acted in a Bond film and had anything else to do with the series, though.
