westg Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Hi All Off to Dubai this week. Any recommendations on where to buy cigars or smoke them would be appreciated. West
LordAnubis Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Awesome mate, enjoy your time. I will be stopping by in transit later in May, so you do all the leg work and then bring me the info you have found
almudawi Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 The best place to enjoy a cigar in Dubai has to be The La Casa Del Habanos Cafe at the JBR. It is well situated at a lively corner at Jumaira Beach Residence. They have a huge well stocked humidor, full of aged and discontinued cigars. The Duty free at the airport has a lot of discontinueds as well as recent productions.
tydra Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Agreed with almudawi. The weather in the evening is great at this time of year as well so you can enjoy your cigar outdoors. If you want to buy a few boxes, you also might want to check out the LCDH in Emirates Towers. Ask for Nafseer; I find he's the most knowledgeable of the LCDH salespeople in Dubai. Tell him Ghaleb mentioned his name to you and he'll know what to recommend (i.e.: no Opens, crap LE's etc...).
OZCUBAN Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Can't help you on the cigar front ,but happy travels my friend
maverickdrinker Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 good luck in your travels!!! Pick up the RA regional Phoencias if you can. They are fantastic cigars.
Duxnutz Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 The Phoencias are sadly no more me thinks. If you find some please let us know! I highly recommend trying a Bolivar UAE RE while your there (10 count boxes). The Punch RE is worth a try too.
westg Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 Thankyou everyone. Seeing out of both eyes now Steve.
