Guyman1966 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I leave these out for the kids. My eldest took 3 (not shown here) with him to college.

Reevzy Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 1998 Gibson Les Paul DC Standard signed by the man himself.. R.I.P. Les That looks gorgeous! I know I don't own this guitar and I can't imagine too many people in the world actually do but just to show it off for fun. This is the 2002 PRS Dragon. It's chock full of pearls and shiny good stuff and the teeth are made of fossilised Mastodon tusk ivory. I think the starting price on these was 10 grand and I think there were only a hundred made. 2
zepp69 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Look at the Taylor Acoustic guitars. Big Baby Taylors run $500.00. 114(cutaway) 110(dreadnaught). Great 1st guitars. I have an 814 that I love. Played many guitars over a two year period before I bought the 814. Just My opinion.
subport Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Got a few myself as well. In the first pic left to right: Agile custom 3000, Jackson DKMG, ESP Horizon 04 (flamed), ESP Horizon 09 (quilted), MusicMan John Petrucci JP6, Simon&Patrick cedar Next pic is ESP LTD Deluxe H1000, then the JP6 with my MusicMan Luke signature, then Fender strat with a Jackson and an Epiphone standard Huge fan of the ESP Horizon. Thats the one I would never let go. Nor Musicmans...the rest of them are kinda whatever
Reevzy Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Hey guys, just to stoke the fire a little on this thread, here's a little clip of a cover that I've been working on for ages now. A bit out of The Czar, by Mastodon. Just a couple of notes after where the video stops is this insane bit that I reckon will take me another couple of months to get right. They really are great musicians. This is played on my PRS custom 22, this guitar makes me wonder why I ever bought other electrics.
JohnS Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I've really enjoyed going through this topic today. I don't quite get the love of the 'heavy metal' guitars, perhaps I'm a little old! However, the love for Vox amps I can relate to. Similarly, Taylor Acoustic guitars are fantastically made, they will not let you down, providing you with a beautiful acoustic sound that is second-to-none!
Vortigan Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Digging an old one up here just because I’m pumped about this new acquisition. Nothing vintage or classic, I know, but I’m loving it! I’m coming back to guitar after about 15 years and I’d only really just got started even then! Always, always loved that bright and snappy Tele sound on the cleans , especially from the bridge, so there was only ever going to be one choice and I’ve not seen or heard a bad word said about The Classic Vibe anywhere, be it Tele or Strat. And apart from anything else it’s just so pretty to look at. I’ve bought a Boss KTN 50 to plug it into and it sounds immense! I just need to be disciplined in practice now and start to get my scales down instead of just instantly trying to learn individual songs. It’ll be a challenge of patience, for sure, but I’m looking forward to the journey. 3
