Puros Y Vino Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 David, you pretty much posted an abattoir's weekly output onto this thread. An aged 3 pack was a foregone conclusion.

Bcrowell Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I don't think one roll of TP and one Gatorade are enough. I showed everyone at the party last night all the food you cooked this weekend. Holy cow! I hope they left some shrimp in the Gulf for next weekend.

Orion21 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Super Bowl weekend was Vegas for me BABY!!!! I have posted a few of these photos, but not all. I wanted to consolodate them and give a nice synopsis of my weekend with a few buddies. So heeeeeerrrrrr we go: I stopped in Kingman, which is about an hour from Vegas, for a burger and a cigar. I chose a beautiful looking Partagas Serie D Limited Edition 2010 I bought from a LITH (HQ box) a couple of months back. It was an exceptional example with a beautifully molted dark colorado wrapper. It was like an aged D4, with more cream and sweetness. A little floral as well. After arriving in Vegas my buddy and I made our first stop at the Aria. We both enjoyed an excellent pizza and a killer Old Fashion while talking to a few 49ers fans about the coming Super Bowl. After eating and drinking we made our way to the Monte Carlo and sat down to play some video poker, like a few old men, and smoke a cigar. A QdO Corona for him and an H Upmann Royal Robusto for me. It doesn't get much better After gambling we waited for another two of our friends to arrive and then made dinner plans to eat at Delmonicos at the Pallazo. It's been a favorite of my for a few years, so I was really looking forward to Emeril's take on steak. I ordered the bone in NY strip with sear foie gras pictured below. I recommend the cajun rub for your steak if you go. We closed the place down after a few bottles of wine. I brought a Montecristo Grand Edmundo for the walk back. We spent some time on the New York New York bridge after getting some drinks. By this point we were beyond sloshed. Obviously my buddy on the right likes to chew his cigar. Within 10 minutes of this picture is cigar looked like it had exploded. The next day was a very long day being as hung over as we were. I spent most of the day fighting off my hang over with beer and cigars at a casino lounge. The best of the bunch was a '12 898 - delicious! The event for Saturday was our trip to Craftsteak at the MGM Grand. Hands down this meal was the best I had ever had at a steakhouse. The group each got the Domestic Waygu tasting with wine parring. The most memorable dishes were the Waygu tartar and the skirt steak. Yes, I said skirt steak. It was better than the Waygu ribeye and filet. The bread and butter was also a revelation. Another after dinner MGE for me They never disappoint! Sunday is game day! We started right with brunch at Bouchon at the Venetian. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. The croissants are as close as you will get to being in Paris. Lunch? Yes, please. I'll take mussels with the most amazing white wine broth in the business. Oh yeah, and the frites are fried in duck fat BRAVO! It's Vegas, so how can anyone not put money on the game? Too bad it didn't pay out . . . It's game time! We made reservations at Public House at the Luxor. A pretty nice sports bar with booth seating. We had a great time watching an amazing game. No smoking allowed and we lost, but we all had a killer time. Overall the best time I have ever had in Vegas. I will be back soon
