Zacapa Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Just smoking a NC for a change (probably serves me right ) and it had quite a tight draw, massaging the stick didn't help so i dug around a little in the head of the cigar and... Probably the biggest stem I've pulled out of a stick, and considering this was in a robusto I'm not sure how the roller missed this one. Got me thinking what monster stems/oak trees other people have found in cigars?
OZCUBAN Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 You've Got to be kidding name and shame I reckon.I do not smoke N/C's as a rule ,but in any cigar that is almost unforgivable ,who is the roller Blind Freddy Cheers
Hohenthal Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Had a stem of nearly that size in a Trinidad Reyes - the rest of the box was fine though.
Zacapa Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Had a stem of nearly that size in a Trinidad Reyes In a trinidad!? and a petit corona size to boot - half the cigar was stem! You've Got to be kidding name and shame I reckon.I do not smoke N/C's as a rule ,but in any cigar that is almost unforgivable ,who is the roller Blind Freddy Cheers It was a La Aroma De Cuba - Mi Amor robusto. Not a bad cigar once i pulled the branch out but by then it was too late. I have another so fingers crossed.
Zacapa Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Did you win a prize at least? Hahah yeah Im guessing if i plant the stem I might get a tobacco plant???
pwhite Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Surprising is right. I don't smoke many NC"s, however, the La Aroma De Cuba - Mi Amor is a NC that I enjoy. As a matter of fact, the few NC's I have in my humi are La Aroma"s.
canadianbeaver Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Maybe there is a bit of "band compensation" here for what the cigar delivers. Not sure...
Colt45 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 No stress, no seeds, no stems, no sticks! We have had a number of members mention "things" they've pulled out of cigars - I've found hair myself. This thread may be a little interesting : http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102036&hl
brazoseagle Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I've found something that looks just like that in a bottle of wine before!
Orion21 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 In an unfiltered bottle of Napa Cabernet the final glass contained the sediment and a bee . . . one of the best bottles of wine I have drunk

nikesupremedunk Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 That's huge! Generally for me, NC's are wind tunnels, especially the larger RG ones.
