krillboy Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Good morning, evening, afternoon, whenever and wherever and whoever may be reading this post, The Cigar Czar site is a place I have been spying on for a couple of years and finally took the plunge to place my first order a few days back which is scheduled to begin processing on the 7th! Thank you Czar for being one of the very few places that sell singles, I ordered three 3 packs and about 16 singles most of which I haven't tried before. I'm 30 years old and have been smoking failry consistently for the past 4 years, I've been searching for a high quality Montecristo Petit Tubo for about 3 years, I purchased a 5 pack in London and they were the most incredible and flavorful cigars I have ever smoked and so far I have ordered multiple boxes from several vendors and they've all been not only not as good but pretty harsh and tasteless as well. Seems these particular smokes being so popular are extremely hit and miss (at least from the research tat I have done) Anyway, I placed my first order and figured it would be oppurtune to open a new account in the forums as well. Quick question, since I don't really want to start a new thread asking this question and was unable to find any info on this in the forums, I have read that there are 3 different quality grades but haven't seen any reference to this quality grading when placing orders, has this been discontinued? westg Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I know what you mean in regard to those petit edmudos / tubos, I had two box's from 2010 which were just bitter chocolate, a delightful smoke, maybe have 6 or so left, Still chasing those dark brown wrappers. Lotusguy I really miss Old Knickerbockers cigar shop that was in Menlo Park next to the BBC tavern, it was a really great shop. To be honest, my favorite shop right now is in Morgan Hill, The Morgan Hill Cigar Company, excellent shop with a wide range of interesting clients and staff, knowledgeable and all of that.

Knickerbockers/BBC was one of my favorite lunch places - sad they closed. Now it's La Bodegita Del Medio on California Avenue and sometimes I stop by Mission Pipe.
