El Presidente Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Tony is without doubt the best photographer I have ever seen. Cheers mate! Our Havana House, a great afternoon starting at 3pm and going until....whenever.

Please forgive my ignorance...but is that a rental and if so, how do you go about finding a place like that? Don't know if I'll ever get to go back in this life, but just so I can dream....
Trevor2118 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Slumming it in Havana? Rob........you need to reassess your definition of "slumming" !

It is a rental mate but pretty tightly held. Toby Brocklehurst found it for me as I needed a place with 5 bedrooms and ensuites. cost was $750 CUC a day but divided amongst 5 mates works out to much the same price as the Nacional.Hotel and obviously incomparable in terms of quality, privacy etc. The big difference is drinks. We buy local beer at .65 CUC, rum at say 4 CUC etc so by the end of the week we save close enough to 1000 CUC on drinks compared to the Nacional. On top of that, all laundry costs roughly 30CUC per person for the week.
mk05 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 This is all fine and dandy, but where are the drunk pics, and the morning after?
El Presidente Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 This is all fine and dandy, but where are the drunk pics, and the morning after? There will be some pics of the Rob Fox Monte Especial 1998 and Whisky tasting 11am the following day. ....i thought we might need a defibrillator for Art. Keith was a no show. Most were "dusty". God knows I was.
Schumi5 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Thanks for sharing gents looks like a great time! The FOH Havana House is spectacular. Looks like something straight out of Scarface.
AlohaStyle Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Thanks again for hosting Rob, had a great time! And for some reason, your "Casa" looked a lot different than the Casa I stayed at!?! LOL Conversation that night was all over the board ranging from skydiving, to wine making, to white water rafting, to watching a movie on Richard Branson's tv from across the ocean water because his tv was so frickin huge, to why HSA/Cuba is ruining cuban cigars, Mark planning a "lunch date" the next day, to the "cute" pink shirt Rob's buddy Nate was pimping all night... goes on and on, a fun time. And yes, getting Ayala'd
demiurgic Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Old friends partying it up, Havana style! Chee hoo! Richard B. probably dreaming about his upcoming space tourism program, Havana Style, thru a giant telly. Chee Hoo Rich!
AndrewNR Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Incredible.. Truly a post embodying this forum and why it is so great.
smokum Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Wow...what a beautiful joint ! Excellent photography too. Love the floor in the game room. My father did marble and terrazzo floors. Italian tradition and lost art that seems to have gone by the wayside. Just beautiful. Hopefully I will make it there before I take a dirt nap.
