I emailed him and he said he could provide his airplane ticket and photos as proof of trip. I asked if he could provide any sort of proof of purchase. Didn't hear back. Also asked him why he was only charging $270 when the box goes for well over $400. "I'm not trying to make a killing and want people to be able to enjoy these beauties!"

His response to me....

I have been going to Cuba every month for the past fourteen years and know the difference form the crappy $20 boxes that they sell in the street from what I buy. First, do you think they (the Cubans) can just walk off with these cigars under there arms from work and that they wouldn't get caught? Since it is obvious you don't have the knowledge I will enlighten you. They take them (yes, steal them) in individual tubes and then later take the boxes and the white cartons out. I do not put the "Habanos or Certificate of Authenticity on the white carton because bringing them into the U.S. I run the risk of having them confiscated (yes, I camouflage them). As for the price, I am not trying to make a killing on these. If you want I have two cigar store that can authenticate them and a cigar club that buy numerous cigars from me.

What a story. More sophisticated than, "My friend has a cousin who has a brother who works in ?________! factory..."

I know I'm a new member so I've yet to earn the trust of the membership, but I just wanted to let you all know I have clear title to the Brooklyn Bridge (bought it off Ken Gargett), and I'd be willing to part with it for one dollar if anyone is interested. I just want people to be able to enjoy free egress to the outer boroughs...
