Mr. Japan Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Congratulations for bringing to Sidney italian top player Del Piero. I m a fan of Alex even if I fully dislike his team Juventus FC. Read his story and statistics from Wiki : http://en.wikipedia....andro_Del_Piero A true number ONE!
Bartolomeo Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Thanks for posting Gino I was hoping he would come to the States but oh well, money talks
Erm310mce Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 He is an amazing talent, and a classy guy. I read he did not want Juve to retire his jersey. He wants kids to have the same dreams he had to wear the #10 for Juve. I wish him the best in Sidney.
CaptainQuintero Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 More importantly, who are they going to sign to cut his food up for him and talk about how cheap things used to be back in the good old days!
El Presidente Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Massive coup for Sydney FC With Rugby league, AFL and Rugby Union being the dominant TV/Cable sports here, Soccer needed a kick a long. They may have found it.
Ken Gargett Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Massive coup for Sydney FC With Rugby league, AFL and Rugby Union being the dominant TV/Cable sports here, Soccer needed a kick a long. They may have found it. seriously? good as he might have been, he is way past his best days. here for the dosh. we've seen supposedly local saviours like harry kewell return and it was a big flop. he'll get a bit of interest but not enough to make a difference. what does make a difference is when local teams put together seasons like the roar did over the last few years. not paying the pension of some blokehere for the cash. mind you, i suppose a large number of them are there just for the dosh. and not just in soccer.
Cohiba Stevie Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Del Piero? A superb player in his prime, but as ken said, he is well past it now... Like, way past it.
