After years of preparation, it is finally upon me now. One more day of "freedom" before our wedding tomorrow. I am excited. And also just want it to be done....haha

First things first!

Tonight a few of my groomsmen and I will close up at the staff college where tomorrows reception will be, we'll have a scotch or two, as well as a fine cigar. My question is - on my last night as an unmarried man....what should I smoke?

Some choices I have here include -

-SLR Double Corona

-Hamlet double robusto

-Partagas Lonsdale

-Cohiba 1966

-Punch DC

-QdO Imperiales

-Por Larranaga Encantos

-Ramon Allones Gigantes

-La Escepcion Selectos Finos

As you can see, lots of choice! I am leaning towards SLR DC, but would love some input! Suggestions?

You know what I am going to recommend....Cohiba 1966.

Congratulations on your wedding my friend. All the best to you and your new bride. Enjoy and savour the moment! You are about to go through something very special.

Congratulations again!

Firstly congrats! And secondly smoke all of them, you might not get another chance!

Congrats Chris.

SLR DC is a fine choice. Try to enjoy the La Escepcion on your honeymoon if you get a chance. Enjoy married life. Somebody out there has to......

Congrats! I vote the Imperiales. Tasty, elegant, and refined smoke...hope you have a fantastic wedding!

Congrats mate, all the best to you and your wife

Congrats mate. As for the cigars I would go, in order of preferance:

Hamlet Custom

Punch DC or SLR DC depending on the box code as these suckers need a few years on them. I have 2005's of each and they are smoking very nicely right now.

You've got a nice selection there. I think they're all good choices, choose what you want! I think you've already made up your mind. Save the rest for the honeymoon

Go for the La Escepcion. This is a special occasion. You can easily get the other sticks on your list. :)

dont listen to Art. He only smokes whimpy ass Cohibas and can't handle the stronger stuff.

Dont listen to Frank. The La Escepion will knock you on your ass, you'll pass out and miss your wedding. LOL

Chris is a big boy. He can handle it. Odd thing that La Escepcion. You can't taste the tobacco kick but you will feel it.:o:pooped:

I would smoke whichever one you know is smoking well and that you will enjoy. I don't get caught up in special cigars. I've saved numerous cigars that people said were great to smoke on a special occasion to only be disappointed. I now reach for whatever I know is smoking consistently good.

From my experience... the Hamlet is the best of the bunch IMO. Of course it depends on when/where you got the cigar and the tobacco that was used.

Congrats man!

I vote for the marriage license :wink2: Joking...1966 or the Custom. Congrats and Best Wishes for a long and happy marriage!

Co-sign on this, special occasion smokes are stupid. Just because it's an expensive cigar doesn't make it a special occasion cigar. Remember, it didn't cost them $40 to make they just sold it at a higher price.

A bit of contemplation with a Party Lonsdale... Tomorrow your life will be different, for better or for worse. Better close the current phase in your life in pure style! Congrats!!
