cohibafix Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I stumbled on this video posting and thought I'd share it with you. Just wondering...Do these humidors (and cigars) find themselves in private hands or are they snapped up by distributors and businesses? Anyway, I was a little gobsmacked by these. Hope you enjoy the video.
cohibafix Posted July 19, 2012 Author Posted July 19, 2012 Sorry. The video is from 2010 not 2012. Apologies.
Habanakane21 Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Great video. I did enjoy the video (Disclaimer: I'm not a professional cinematographer so I'm not qualified to judge any video's). Also some great looking cigars. (Disclaimer: I am not a expert in Cuban cigars. Just a guy who has some smoked cuban cigars in 1994. Again not qualified to give an opinion. I also enjoyed the wood working on the humidors. (oh this one I know a little about. I've been in the custom wood furniture business for 15 years. Designer and manufacturer. If I disrespected any FoH cinematographer or FoH experts in cuban cigar I humbly apologize. Hope everyone has a great day and a fantastic weekend.
CaptainQuintero Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Both, collectors usually get some and distributors like Hunters and Frankau pick them up too. They don't really ever seem to resurface after the auctions. Loved the Upmann one! I bet whoever bought the Montecristo Opens humi felt a little jealous of the other humis

Anyway, I was a little gobsmacked by these. Hope you enjoy the video. Thank you for sharing - enjoyed the video ! I attended that dinner and it's always nice to see things in retrospect. As for your question ( Disclaimer : I am not an expert on cigars or humidors ) they are mostly bought by distributors or retailers. Problem is ( Disclaimer : just rumours heard the last 7 Festivals in HAV ) some buyers have more "need for face time" than money, so you might find the odd FdH humidor still in a HAV warehouse waiting to be paid. Great video. I did enjoy the video (Disclaimer: I'm not a professional cinematographer so I'm not qualified to judge any video's). Also some great looking cigars. I enjoyed the food at that dinner ( Disclaimer : Not Gault-Millau-Michelin here, but OK for Cuba at 500 CUC a ticket ), the cigars were good ( But : what do I know about cigars ), the humidors : No idea except for the Cohiba that was manufactured by a friend, might have been good, I loved the remote control unit, up-down-up-down, great gimmick. Oh, the dessert was lovely ( not a baker, but I love sweets ) and the Rum was good ( Drink a lot there, might know a bit, but don't trust me, I also drink lots of cans of Cristal and Bucanero ... ). My apologies for any disrespect - not intended Just some fun guys - enjoying the spirit

Nino Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 That cat looks p' off .... maybe a change in habitat would make it smile ( no, I am not a cat expert, prefer dogs, but the face looks familiar .... PS : error code 404 means a- the last Quintero Breva in the humidor was plugged b- the girl friend cheered for Spain at the finals c- another day at the office d- none of the above ( Disclaimer : not a pc guru)

mk05 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I almost threw my computer off my desk when Ajay said, "...finest Montecristos...OPEN." @ 2:17 The Maravilla was good. Really light. RyJ humidor was the most beautiful for me.
maverickdrinker Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 You guys are awesome! Thanks for the laugh!!!
