I thought this would be a good idea for a thread since oftentimes these questions get lost within other threads.

So regarding 99-01 boli lonsdales and 99-01 VRs in general, how are they smoking?

Kind thanks gents.

I've had 2 '99 VR Classicos in the last few months and they were superb. A wonderful woody dark chocolate with smooth coffee notes. Pretty much a perfect cigar. Well worth the wait.

You should pass on that boat of 99 Lonnies from what I was advised.

My ingenious plan is to hoard a bunch now, invent cryogenic sleep, and wake up in 100 years with my glassine wrapped boxes. Pretty much foolproof.

Lol, 08 qdo corona are just coming around. Changing from BBQ meaty/charry/smoky to vegetal like 03s. Anyone else experience this?

Yea that's what I was told. Risk/reward was not tempting to me.

So scratch my opinion. Everyone's risk appetite is different.

Thats what I love about cigars, everyone has such different tastes. For me young QDO are rich grass with a hint of sweetness if you smoke them slowly. aged they are a rich vanilla custard. Never had meaty flavours ever!

I have a fantastic box of 1999 Boli Lonsdales. Not a dud yet (5 smoked). 2nd box with the same date code on the way. Unfortunately, they are now sold out at that vendor so that will be my last box.

Can't comment on VR since I don't like the Marca and essentially never smoke them.
