PigFish Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Sorry to hear this my friend. I will definitely say a prayer for your pooch. Lord knows how heart broken I get over my pets when they are feeling poorly. Prednisone and other steroids often help dogs get over bouts of swelling causing paralysis. Please talk to your vet about a course of steroids as an option to get him over the hump and on his feet again. Let us know how it works out mate and take good care of yourself as well as Cohiba the dog. -Ray

Squarehead Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Rob,I hope that Cohiba is recovering from his ordeal. We still think and talk about our Sybirian Husky which we had to put down after a massive stroke at age 15yrs.That was 11 years ago.She was followed by our cat(same age)6 month later.
El Presidente Posted June 16, 2012 Author Posted June 16, 2012 Cheers all. Still no movement in hind quarters. it has only been a few days and we are waiting to see what movement returns once the nerve swelling goes down. Right now it doesn't look good. We will give it another week.
