aes8 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 i know, dont i know it... i was waiting for his usual sarcastic remark along that line. Glad I did not disappoint . Hope you can make the LV Herf, sincerly
ramon_cojones Posted June 16, 2012 Author Posted June 16, 2012 Send me your address (my e-mail is in my profile) and I'll send you a Superiore. It will cost you $5.30 (Cuban price) + shipping.Best, Michel Thanks for the kind offer Michael on the superiore, this guy below has my back on that. Appreciate it though, foh is quite kind. We'll Herf the 898 and the Superiors in LV back to back while we are checking out the goods under those see through cheese cloth dresses the girls at Casa Fuente wear. You are a bad, bad man. I'll bring the vintage dunhill shades. dude, just smoke the RASS. What more do you really need... PS - I only see 2 RAs in that regionals pic. I have 7 boxes of rass dawg.
mk05 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 And you don't send me any because!?!? We share the same avatar, that means like, we're brothers. You owe me seegarzzz
ramon_cojones Posted June 16, 2012 Author Posted June 16, 2012 Haha they're all 09-11 and nowhere near ready to smoke for another 5 or I would son. You're the one smoking up all the vintage ish! Aes has way better stock than me so I mooch off him.
LGC Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 The Estupendo is okay, but not enough body for me. I find most churchills to have no balls. I don't like smoking the same cigar for 1.5+ hours. With the one I smoked, I was able to fully exhale all of the smoke out of my nose. I would expect more "legs" on a stick that is 6 years old. The 2006 sample was obviously lacking ligero, for my own personal tastes I bought the Eminencias and Celes Finos because they are sizes that I like. I haven't bought the rest because of their jaw breaker sizes, or EL wrapper that I don't care for... or prohibitive pricing.
maverickdrinker Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I agree on the Estupendos. A litle lacking in the oomph department.
tempbond Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 OK I am home now...Here is what I brought home from Paris: And from Amsterdam *EDIT*... made pics bigger Lisa, very nice selection ! How were the prices in Paris, more expensive than in Canada or about the same ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
android Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 My 2007 Belicosos are excellent right now. For a relatively young cigar, the Superiores are smoking quite well. And the Estupendos are good, too. Overall, the RA's are among the best Regionals, followed by Por Larranaga. Smoked an 07 today after reading your post Shrink...amazing! I smoked two Cohiba Sublimes recently and they are intoxicating as well if you have them. Andy
canadianbeaver Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Lisa, very nice selection ! How were the prices in Paris, more expensive than in Canada or about the same ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD Much less... but then again, anywhere on earth is much cheaper than Canada! We basically have a 300% markup in taxes duty and the profit for retailers. Average price per stick: $13. In other words, the smaller sticks, 7-8, the more premium, larger ones, 19-20. the super premiums, GR's for example, $35
aavkk Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I completely disagree with those suggesting the 06 Estupendos lack body. My box at least is built for the long haul, its not in your face strong but carries amazing complexity and finesse. Its a flavor bomb wrapped up in a silky medium body. A very unique and IMO most impressive effort. 05 Beli's are lighter than the 07's and also excellent. I havent smoked enough of the CF's to comment. Of course the 02 898's (which I'm smoking right now) are classics and set the benchmark in my opinion for any cigar rolled in the last 10 years. Obviously I am an RA fan.
shrink Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Of course the 02 898's (which I'm smoking right now) are classics and set the benchmark in my opinion for any cigar rolled in the last 10 years. I didn't comment on the 898's because they were regular production, not Regionals. But I have to agree, they currently equal or surpass ANY Ramon Allones I've ever smoked.
LGC Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I must add that my statements, along with everyone else's, are merely opinions... not facts. Tastes are very subjective and personal. In addition, you can't depend on any type of consistency among cigars... even within the same box.
Neuralpath Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I love the '07 Estupendos. For me, they are medium bodied, complex, sweet and sometimes tangy, fruity, almost chewy! A delicious cigar!
ramon_cojones Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 I have put the esptupendos on my list, I hope I don't like them or I will have to get a cab
mk05 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Save your breath and buy the cab? lol We all know how this turns out right?
cottierm Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 No problem and any time! Best, Michel Thanks for the kind offer Michael on the superiore, this guy below has my back on that. Appreciate it though, foh is quite kind.
