canadianbeaver Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 At the LCDH in Amsterdam, Didi, the owner, said there is more current news that the marca is history. This is from the newsletter last week and it is a change from reports before. He says it is becoming nearly impossible to get replacement boxes for retail in the quantities he would like to hold him for the future. Take this news as you see fit.
Jason55555 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 LOL don't know how to take the news anymore Lisa lol, but it seems that a lot of LCDH owners are saying marca is finished hummmm interesting to buy or not to buy.
coug28 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Lets see...What would be better for business... For us cigar buying folk to believe Trinidad are going to way of the dinosaur... Or that they're not going away for good..will still be around, however, just won't be as often...and are taking a temporary hiatus from rolling them. I know what I'd be saying if I was a shop owner. They're not dumb, and they likely saw the spike in Trini purchases when the sky was falling not all that long ago...and are gonna ride that rumor for all it's worth.
Smallclub Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Lets see...What would be better for business... I know what I'd be saying if I was a shop owner. They're not dumb, Lcdh or not, shop owners are the last people that I'd listen to in this kind of situation. Most of them are aware of nothing but feel compelled to play insiders with respect to their customers. Only importers have an idea of what is happening, but in some countries (like France) they behave like a secret service…
phoenix Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Yeah I wouldn't lay long odds on them adding a long and skinny. :-) I'm a longtime fan of the Trini Fundadores, but haven't been impressed of late. As far as Trinidad goes, overall I've been left wanting.
dicko Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 sounds like a bs excuse to re-introduce these cigars as LE's and RE's in the next couple of years
