OZCUBAN Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I think of Chuck, Jack, Van, what's recently happened with Guy, and other friends...... Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so I smoke and drink what I wish as the mood strikes. That's exactly right Colt hit the nail on the head there , my philosophy is your a long time dead OZ
Kosh Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I have a wedding cigar (Cohiba Genios singles and a 25-ct box from the relevant year), a birthday box for my son (Montecristo no. 1, 25-ct, to be smoked from his 5th birthday, box code from the right month and year). I also have a 25-box of CoRos for my 45th birthday and a 25-box of Cohiba Esplendidos for my 50th birthday.
thechenman Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I think it is a fantastic idea to have cigars to commemorate special dates in you life. Unfortunately, I didn't smoke cigars when some of the commemorative events of my life happened. Currently I have a 50ct. cabinet of Partagas Lusitanias with my daughter's birth month and year. I'm still looking for a box for my wedding anniversary (9/01) and my son's birth (8/02). Sadly...I haven't had luck with either one of them yet...and I've even utilized the mad skills of our own Lisa. If any of you have a line on CCs from either one or both of those box dates, please drop me a PM. Thanks.
tucomapache Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Here is a different angle to this cool post... The cigar on the right is from the box I passed out when my first girl Mary was born on 7/23/86 its a Bering PC size with the tube it came in.. The cigar on the right is also from a box I passed out when my 2nd daughter Joanne was born on 11/7/89. Its a Phillies perfecto. They are my most prized cigars, you can imagine why! They are still in good condition... Damm time sure flies... . Joe..
Figaro Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Life is too short. Live the moment and don't think about 5-10-20 years down the road. Used to do it and life just passed by. For that reason, I would smoke "special" cigars after breakfast on normal days and normal cigars on anniversary days. I go with what I feel like.
Strada Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I agree smoke what you feel like when you feel like. I keep a box of special singles that I dignin whhen I want something out of the ordinary
