I have not been one to be patient enough to age and rotate cigars, but I need to do this with a new big order I just made.

With that said, how do you guys rotate your cigars? Is there a method or science to it or do you just pull some from each box and go through those one by onev

I see 'rotation' as a very loose term for the sticks you are smoking regularly at the moment. It would take the pleasure and spontaneity out of it a bit if I felt like I had to follow a regime and smoke equally out of all my boxes or mark ones as sacred and not to be touched. If I have a box of Mag 46 that taste great relatively young then I would harbour no guilt while burning through the whole cab, ageing be damned! It's a lesson I only learned recently after spending too much time worrying about the future of my stock. If it's good now, then why wait? I'm not sure if that actually addresses your question exactly but after a couple of bottles of Pinot Noir it's what I felt compelled to write!

I have a singles humidor that is fair game and a couple of aging windeador's to get stuff ready. It's not a set rotation because I never know what I'm going to want to smoke. Right now my singles humidor has a few Monte Grand Edmundo, QdO Corona, RyJ Short Churchill, Boli Gigantes, Boli Royal Corona and some nice NC's. I have no set plan on when to move stuff or what...I haven't planned that far ahead yet.

Once you have enough, and "enough" is of a subjective mindframe, your cigars will speak to you...

I disagree, all of my cigars constantly tell me "more you need more" :)

Through the years I have know people who rotate cigars in their singles drawer or in their cabinets.

I have never ascribed to this. Just too lazy. I might move a box from one shelf to another, space allowing for easier access if I am smoking out of it. But that is about it.

I do occasionally try to consolidate by marca.

YMMV

Edited: I do not have a "rotation" of cigars to smoke.
