Show me some Maria Guerrero GdE. Then I MIGHT be impressed. Nice boxes though. I guess I could break out some La Escepcion longos for the win...

Nah. Let's see what else y'all got....

I don't own any collector cigars, rare names etcetera, not of any quantity anyway. What I own, I smoke and used to be common place. I suppose much falls into the "recent" collector category now, but not by my design.

Post some rare cigars if you got 'em. I would love to see them as the closest that I have gotten to many truly rare cigars have been from friends collections. I never got into rare cigars, very specialized and too rich for my blood. Hell, I would be afraid to smoke them and that would defeat the my purpose!!!

Here are some little friends that I have always liked. The du Depute and du Maire. The Party Short is back for comparison.

Welcome back mate! Funny to read what you wrote years ago... So where did we leave off? How about here: ... as good a place as any! Upmann Lonsdales... Yum! Gonna' smoke one

I am really the wrong guy to ask about what is smoking well today. I am back to buying cigars in 2015, but the cigars that I am getting are all on the 'come.' This is because I won't be smoking any of

Long and skinny ? for your viewing pleasure     Plenty of choices ?

Right the hell on! All of those sticks I posted will be smoked or gifted.

The art of our hobby, at this point, is to smoke cigars that are at their peak and let the other rest until they are at their peak.

Going to bed, have at it gentlemen.

First legit pic of a Fancy Tales of Smoke gets one of my RA898's and an offer of purchase.

Yes I'm a Partagas *****! :D

bwahahaha yessss the sdc's just bring a smile to my face everytime I light it up.

I have asked Rob once to ask his HSA guys to make a book of Laguito #1 or #2s (my fav size) - you know, 3 to 5 of each marca, since people who buy cigars are pure aficionados and collectors; plus I'd be willing to bet that they, like myself, are die hard skinny fans.

Where are our European skinnies smokers!? Show us the good stuff!

I agree. I just want to see the MG GdE....

I smoke or give away all my cigars. I got over collecting/hoarding years ago. I have thousands of vinyl records to prove it.

Love Partagas SDC. Rarely smoke mine, which annoys me greatly. I want to be able to smoke 3-4 SDC 3 boxes a year. Surely HSA could produce 1000 boxes every few years?

Silly.

I don't own any of those so I will have to be satisfied smoking my own 898's!!! Frankly I prefer the RA PC now that the (my) coronas are all gone.

Regarding the du Prince. I have never had a really good one and I have tried. The last box I still have I think is '05. Like the du Gourment, just never hit it off with these. I like the du Roi however. I still own quite a few boxes of those.

Last pic of the night for me too boys and girls.

This is my last cab of Partagas PC's. I used to smoke these and the Tres Petit Coronas one or the other everyday. The TPC is (was) by far the better smoke than the Short. MHO. I just can't get myself to smoke the first one of these... but the day is coming!

You know, this is how I feel about the Partagas Super Partagas...I've been stocking up. They're already GREAT young (and cheap to boot!) but I have a feeling that with some time to even out the moisture, the flavors will really come together! I mean seriously, it's too cheap for HSA not to kill. :tantrum:

You know my whacky theories mate! I don't even want to go there!!!

I would smoke the SdC #3 daily given the opportunity. The #2 is my favorite, but not liking to waste a good cigar and mostly smoking in the 30-45 minute window, I usually end up smoking a PC. Like you the GdE is really my perennial favorite next to the Party Seleccion Privada, but I have a lot of cigars I call "favorite."

Sit me in a corner with a 42 (or smaller) ring cigar, length notwithstanding and I am a happy camper!

Cheers

We joke but there is no joke in picking the best cigars in the catalogue and killing them. You should stock up on them! Cause if they are good and reasonably priced, H SA will kill them off!!! It is only a matter of time.

I mean... they keep the Monte 4, for Christ's sake. I know they are the most produced cigar in the catalogue, and debatably one of the worst PC's next to the RyJ!

This is why I have always loved the RG PC.

Keeping with the spirit of your challenge, this picture is a real treat. A 1920s H. Upmann Fancy Tales of Smoke. Brilliant lithography on this band. You'll never see anything like this again.

WOW!!!!!!

I definitely joined the party a few years too late!!! pod.gif One can only hope (and pray) HSA will one day see the error of their ways!

Until then, Looks like I'll be smoking PC's and the few skinnies that are left.

For sub-42 RG smokes, there are no stellar cigars left for the price point... only a few "good" cigars. I cry every time I go to reach for a cigar, since 90% of what I smoke is 42 and under. It's sad to know that I can't replace most sticks when I burn them.

For me most these stick's were axed before I started or found my preference for them. I have managed to get hold of a few boxes in this thread and smoke them very rarely, even though I'd love to smoke more. I know I probably won't get hold of them again, But I suppose its better to have tried them than not at all...

On the other hand for the people who these were regular smokes for, I think its terrible and HSA should be ashamed in abandoning them!!!

HDM isn't something I reach for however the Hoyo Du Gourmets are fantastic, one of the best skinny's IMO

It's really a shame that good small ring gauge stuff is getting so scarce.

I better pick up a box of PLMC or some 898s before they disappear.
