El Presidente Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Love it!!! Do they have a Gin over there called "The Botanist"? It's amazing! Just finished the Bombay Sapphire. haven't seen "The Botanist" as yet but will keep my eyes peeled. Normally it is is "Hendricks" with a slice of cucumber.
NMJoe Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 5th? No wonder you can't see. ;-) Vodka martinis for me tonight. Enjoy yours!

El Presidente Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 5th? No wonder you can't see. ;-) There are days where I just get in the "mood" for a little trouble. This is one of them
TankerT Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Yeah... but after your 10th... you'll sweat that that Quintero is better than the Behike 52 in your humidor...
Wicky Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Yeah... but after your 10th... you'll sweat that that Quintero is better than the Behike 52 in your humidor... That's precisely why I don't keep either.
BurbankStogieLover Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Since I've joined the forum I've been filling the exploits of the prez. Got to say I've started planning a new vacation to australia just to visit the boys. What else is there to see over there. The water in the toilet run the opposite way and the prez. Hopefully two Weeks is enough.
danclough Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Gin and Tonics are one of life's little mysteries. Gin on its own, not so great. Tonic on its own is borderline awful. But you put the two together and squeeze a little lime (or cucumber) and you've got one of the tastiest most refreshing drinks out there. I don't know how it works, but I'm glad it does!

Far better than the sum of its parts.
Hohenthal Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I am on my 5th. Can't see a problem Can't see through clouds of smoke or ..... well, 5 would erase any problem, right? Hendricks for me, please! Enjoy!
amosnaim Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Love th combination too. I always drink gin&tonic with lime. Never tried with a slice of cucumber. I will now though
Fuzz Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Love th combination too. I always drink gin&tonic with lime. Never tried with a slice of cucumber. I will now though Make sure you use Hendricks Gin as it contains cucumber essence. Doesn't work well with other gins.
in0gravity Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Just finished the Bombay Sapphire. haven't seen "The Botanist" as yet but will keep my eyes peeled. Normally it is is "Hendricks" with a slice of cucumber. Try Tanqueray Ten that's my favorite gin. Also pretty good is Millers Gin Westbourne Strength. Both go very well with cigars. regards Lars
melies Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Love them all the way! Hendricks one's are my favorite but tanqueray Rangpur or some safron gin ones are delightful also
ZinZan Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I dont get Gin and tonic but i do like gin and 7up/sprite. Its prob sacrilege to all the gin lovers.
mazolaman Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Another vote for Hendricks....G and T on a summers day...lovely.
Styler Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Love it!!! Do they have a Gin over there called "The Botanist"? It's amazing! I'll second that. It's made by the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay. The other scottish Gin (Hendricks) is great as well though (not that I'm bias!).
First Lady Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 You Are ruining it with tonic just straight gin with fresh lime juice and ice ...You are getting soft in your old age Rob
amosnaim Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Make sure you use Hendricks Gin as it contains cucumber essence. Doesn't work well with other gins. Good info, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks
cgarner Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I've never tried the Gins referred to in this thread. Has anyone tried Beefeater and if so how doses it compare?
canadianbeaver Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Another vote for Hendricks with a slice of lime in mine. But I have to be careful because I couple and I am loaded.
