I'll be in Spain for those dates, but down near Cadiz. I'll have a car but it's quite a drive. I will look into it though. Sounds like fun and something I've always wanted to see.

It would be good to finally meet you face to face Gino. Neutral Spain sounds ideal!

Rob runs with the bulls every day. They might not always have horns but the potential for a good goring is always there.

Gino, just mentioned this to the wife, who I'd be abandoning in the south of Spain with the kids for a couple of days to do this. She says "I'll think about it".

Giddy up! See you in July :2thumbs:

Very cool. That would be something indeed. Gino, I wish I could sneak out for a trip, but the timing just doesn't work. Very cool though. You'll definitely have to post pictures and details of all the fun!

Gino & Andy,

Saint Fermin Bull Festival Sounds great guys, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

If you need to run after some more bulls, come on over to the Nîmes Feria

This summer. :D

I would love to be there but it will be up to the return of Queen Bee Lisa. I suggest we DO NOT mention it to her anytime in the next few months :lookaround:

I'm back ...sound and safe !

What a fantastic experience, a whole city in "fiesta" , all dressed white with the red scarf, babies, kids, children, teenagers, couples, old , dogs and cats.

I really enjoyed walking around, only problems is that if you want to see the bulls race you had ego be there at 6.30 am in the morning as it starts at 8 am.

Nothing special...they just run for 850 meter from the paddock to the arena.

I was on a balcony ...safe !

I enjoyed watching the bullfight rooting for the bulls, but no way they could win.

I liked that we all went at the Bulls Arena with pic nic bags with beer and Cava, it's all allowed, smoking...drinking...chanting...

It's a 24 hours a day , seven days festival. If you want to live it fully you may sleep 3-4 hours a day.

One great thing where the night fireworks, every night at 11 pm for 20-25 minutes I'v seen som eof the best fireworks in my life.

Food...so many.

Beer...too much.

Smoking...never enough ...

Please enjoy some photo's others I load on FB Amicigar pages.

My lasting impression from my first visit to Pamplona 15 years ago is that the traffic was very much in the same spirit as the bull run...all guts and no prisoners taken. Would have loved to see this fiesta, Gino, sounds like a blast!

Looks Great Gino, sorry I couldn't make it up this year. Looked into it, flights from Seville to Bilbao vs the 1000 km drive up but for some reason my wife wasn't that keen on the idea..

It is something I must do sometime, looks like a great time.

Ciao Gino,

good to have you back safe & sound.

Looks fantastic, thank you for sharing !!

Gino. Loved the pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us. Running with the bulls is one of those things I've always wanted to do. One more thing to add to the bucket list. Hahaha...

This is also one event that I'd like to see before my time is up. I can't imagine the craziness of wanting to run in front of a pack of bulls! thanks for the story!

Brilliant Gino!

I've not seen these wines (to date) in the U.S. - any thoughts?

Did you eat the pulpo?

Cheers!

Yes I had Pulpo and it was very very tasty. One thing I noticed was not in the restaurants was a good sangria, I believe it is more of south of Spain.

Gino that is because in Navarra we actually make and drink wine that you do not have to add lemonade and fruit to rotfl.gif

Beautiful photos mate. Made me feel quite homesick to visit the relatives in Pamplona.

always wanted to do that. funnily enough, i had not seen this post before and we were talking about it with the family last night. almost got there 20 years ago.

interesting you say it kicks off at 8am now. i remember in the old days it used to be 7/7/7! 7am on the 7th day of the 7th month. half your luck.
