ChanceSchmerr Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Hey Guys, I'm back at work on the Ship after some much-deserved post-deployment leave, but I've got one week left of leave, and I'm going to Toronto for a week later in March to use it! The reason for the trip is to progress wedding preparations for my upcoming Summer wedding, but I think it's a good time to meet some FOH brothers from Toronto too! I don't yet know which day/night I will be available, but it'll be sometime between Monday the 19th to Thursday the 22nd. I will attempt to get the schedule of what's happening that week for me in Toronto and post here once I know. What i'm looking for now is - First, who wants to meet up? Second - what are good days/times for people, and Third - where should we go? Lounge? Someone's patio? The scope of the event is up to whoever's going - I'm happy with anything from a few beers/scotches and some great cigars, to a dinner + cigars + drinks - whatever people want to do. I'm a guest in Toronto and have no intention of setting any expectations - all I'm looking for is to meet people and enjoy a good cigar or three! What say you, Fellas? Who's available for a FOH meet-up! Deployment stories, Andorra tales and good times all around await us!

Puros Y Vino Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Hey Chris. I'd be up for a smoke or two. Pretty much any of those nights are possible for me. Tuesday does work best though. As for location. Weather permitting, we can hang out in the Yorkville area. Lots of good food and cigar patio choices there. The Park Hyatt rooftop is a must IMO. Keep us posted on your trip.

Any other day that week I am good for as long as people can stand my company. It'll be good to meet some FOHers. I'm with Frank, Park Hyatt is a must. Enis
CanuckSARTech Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Chris, I love the idea, and would love to. But this may just be bad timing. I start my QL3 at CFMPA here at Borden on March 19th. I'll be CB'd for the first 4 weeks. So, I likely won't be able to get away. However, if you're able to come up to the base for a visit, I just may have some cigars on me.... But seriously, I'm not 100%. It'll have to be a wait and see for me, until that Monday when the course starts and we get the lowdown on what the rules will be for us. But hey, you have some pull - make a few phone calls and come on up here! I'll buy ya lunch at the Jr. Ranks mess! LOL.

Keith, I'd love to come up and swing my massive rank around and get you out for some cigars, but I don't think I'll be able to....Raincheck for July? Good luck on your course! Stay outta Angus! Let's plan it out - I'm suggesting a 6 or 7 pm start time. location doesn't matter to me - an enclosed location would be preferrable because wind does suck, but the current forcast calls for 13C high, 8C low for Tuesday the 20th - not bad! I'm excited!

I'm excited! Chris. Weather permitting, the Park Hyatt is a great place to hang out if the crowd isn't too big. Otherwise, we can arrange a gathering at our local Cuban joint, the Mambo Lounge. They have a great a great smoking area and plenty of HC in stock. Tuesday works for me.
