jazzbass Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Thanks for finding those links for us. It looks like the best party on earth, full of happy smokers casually walking about with cigars in their hands, INDOORS !!!!!!!!
mazolaman Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 cheers for posting Ken, interesting to see.
Ken Gargett Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 just saw that jack bruce is there. that might have been exciting. and jim belushi???
Hash Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Thank you for sharing, some good information.Looking foreward to the new releases.
Hohenthal Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Thanks for the info, more short cigars? I don't really mind, how about you, Ken? Cheers anyway, Alex
cottierm Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Thanks for finding and sharing Ken. You are also right concerning the figures. It would be interesting to have the real ones! Maybe our Prez could help on this account. Best, Michel
Scdalak Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Highly unlikely we or anyone will ever know "the real figures" I did find it interesting that they are moving towards "smaller" cigars??? Hmmmmmm Damn that Petite Churchill!!
danistalking Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 That upmann and partagas look pretty good!
Orion21 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I love how they can't just "report" about the festival without throwing in their commentary about "health concerns due to smoking." So much for just reporting -- I guess the news is now reporting/political commentary/social commentary based on an agenda....
Ken Gargett Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 i remember attending one of those press conferences at the festival a few years ago. they were asked sales figures. we were told they were going to be completely hinest with us and hide nothing and so it was with great pride and in that spirit of openess that they confirmed the sales figures for the year. "more than last year but not as much as the next year" i am not kidding.
Tarks Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 FYI, I think these clips were from last years festival.
Ken Gargett Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 could be - they were being promoted on the bbc site in a manner that would have suggested this yeear but i have no real idea. it would make sense that at least one of them was from last year - would explkain the different figures.

I'm just speculating. All the cigars they were discussing/viewing were from last years festival. (RyJ Wide Church, Upmann Half Corona, Allones Extra etc.). Kind of strange that the BBC would be showing this a year late. Weirder things have happened.

I saw the video last year when it was released, maybe they just bumped it?
