Hunger Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Hi All, I found this box of Ramon Allones at my local vendor. I never had a PSP box so my question is: Is this box a HQ or PSP box? Rob I would appreciate your opion on this. Thanks, Halil
mbrody Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I believe that HQ/PSP is also based upon construction and aroma, not just appearance, so it would be hard to tell from photos only without inspecting that box. Photo only, I guess HQ. Nice Box.
Habanakane21 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 That one band is off... HQ!!! Lol. They look great to me!!
winelover Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I doubt Rob is going to start ascribing his quality marks to other vendors' cigars. Nice box though.
melies Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 They look fake.... hahaha Just a joke mate they look beautiful!!

Vitty Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 For this noob, what is HQ vs PSP and what do the abbreviations stand for. Thanks guys!

Rob has a great description thread: http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=99527 Look down the forum list and you'll see the HQ/PSP/Aged area. ~ Greg ~
Bahnofstrasse Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Those wrappers look a bit to dark...I would return.
El Presidente Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Impossible to tell. From a pic I am unable to check the construction or aroma. Poorly constructed and they wouldn't make either category. The wrappers do not appear uniform, so that normally rules out PSP unless. the wrappers also look a tad thick but that could be the photography. I am assuming aroma is excellent.
Mnasrin Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 i had a similar box when i purchased from czars. i believe they were HQ. nice box !
cgarner Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I'd smoke em. If they are good I wouldn't care if they are HQ or PSP. If they are crap I would by from czar next time
mk05 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Looks great, but you have to smoke it to be sure. Mine looked visually poor, ugly light shade wrappers and sort of void of oils, but it smoked great (richer flavors...you'll know if it's a good one).
Habanos2000 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 there's only one place to get HQ or PSP quality cigars from, right here. Otherwise it's a crap shoot.

Extremely helpful info. Tried searching and was failing to get hits on that thread for some reason.
