My memories were stoked by wilkeys comment to my Esplendidos review.

What was your first Cuban cigar? If a single, what was your first box purchase?

My first cigar: Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona.......wow we're they good back then.

My first box purchase: Vegas Robaina Unicos and Romeo Exhibicion #4.

My first was a Hoyo epi #2. Didn't thrill me much. Then I had a BPB 2009 EL and I was hooked. Still the second best cigar I have ever had.

My first Cuban was a Monte No.4. Bought a pack of three. About 9 months later I bought a box of Monte No.4s.

RyJ #2 tubo from a convenience store

I remember I cut it with a pair of scissors, at the end I looked like I ate tobacco instead of smoking it

First cigar was an Upmann Corona Major I had at a black tie event and the first box I bought was a box of SCdlH El Principes. It was funny back then as I thought why do people need to smoke a cigar larger than a minuto :innocent: Cigar smoking is certainly a slippery slope B)

First was an HdM Epicure No. 1 while on vacation in Aruba. Like many smoking a first CC, I don't think I appreciated how good it was. It then became my first box pruchase and it is now one of my staples (still have a few sticks from that FEB 09 box sitting in the humi). Although I get the feeling it seems to be a cigar that does not get much attention around here?

My first Cuban cigar was either a No.4 or PC that I purchased at a Hotel on Canada

My first purchase was a Cab of Party shorts

First was a RyJ a something or other. (note: was probably fake)

First 100% real would been from my first box purchase. I had a box of cohiba Siglo I's brought back from cuba for me.

My first Cuban cigar and box purchase was the Monte Petit Edmundo.

I remember not being overly impressed and feeling like I might have wasted my money, so I went back to smoking my NC's when the occasion for a smoke presented itself. After a few months I decided to smoke another PE and at first I noticed that the cigars were much darker than when I bought them and there was a layer of oil that was not present before. I picked the best looking cigar of the bunch and was blown away by the difference compared to the first. Little did I know at the time that most Cuban cigars are not good right out of the box. Since then I have never looked back . . .

My first Cuban cigar was a RyJ Churchill from RJ Clarke Tobacconist in Vancouver, BC. Man... that would have been back in 91-92 or somewhere thereabouts? My first box purchase was a 25 count of Montecristo #2s from one of the restaurants in Whistler, BC, back in 94 or 95... I don't remember the name of the place. I think it was a fancy-pants steakhouse of some sort.

My first Cuban was a HDM DC, back around 1995. I was nervous as hell getting it across the border from Canada to Detroit! One lousy cigar! First full box purchase was RASS in 98 or 99. I still have that box, albeit empty.

The very first ones were some Partagases in the 80's. Smoked PCEs (remember that because of the can) and some small ones, Chicos and something else quite small. They all were just "very strong tobacco" to me those days.

My "current career" started with RASS, but I had smoked some Cubans during a couple of years before that. I just don't remember which ones they could have been. Maybe some Hoyos at least, I think.

Bought very many singles or 3-packs before buying a box, but the first box was JLP Cremas, if a bundle can be considered as a box.

Mine was an H.upmann petit , was my dad's favorite cigar and he gave one to me after I joined the army.

Great cigar, when my father passed away I found out he four boxes of them stashed away (that was 7 years after he stopped smoking them)

I still have one box left as they did become flavorless after 15+ years.

The first box I bought was a Diplomaticos no.4 which I bought in 2000, the year I became a real cigar smoker (more than one a month)

First cigar was a ryj en cendros no 2

First box was a 10ct of psd4

I'm going to say a VR Famosos which was gifted to me at one of my first herfs. It was the stick that turned my world upside down, and threw me violently down the slope.

My first box were 06 Party Shorts (DB25) which I subsequently sold or traded away as I thought they were too stong. That was a lesson never forgot, and would never sell cigars away again, knowing now that they age and mellow over time.

First cc was HDM Epi #2. First box was Cohiba VI, and wow they were fantastic :). What a slippery slope it has become since then lol

My first was a CoRo that I purchased during my honeymoon in December of 2011 (yes, my first and I'm over the age of 40). It was so good, I came home and purchased a box.
