Which is interesting in that REs are supposed to be current production sizes only. It's not the first bending of EL / RE criteria.

I imagine that these criteria are no longer hard and fast.

That's probably right, Colt. The Hermosos No. 2 was used for the Juan Lopez Maximos in the Swiss RE 2008, for example.

That's the opposite actually: they are (theorically) selected from current production vitolas that are NOT already available in that brand.

That is correct, but a current production size. I don't know of any regular production cigars in this particular size.
