Hi again from humid and rainy HAV,

had a great trip to the tobacco plantations and spent some time playing tourist in the Vinales valley where the weather was sunny and blue skies.

Succulent river prawns and good live music in the back Ranchito just for us.

Good farm food and cigars with both Hirochi and Hector and Miguel / good to be out of the city for a while.

Also very relaxing time with Jose by the Almendares river, such great hospitality and humanity ( plus the best and prettiest Dalmatian dog in Cuba ).

Will be posting this week jointly with Jose from HAV.

Looking forward to the Partagas Meet and friends arrving.

Art : Received pm / meeting place and time is confirmed.

Hello again from HAV,

cold front is in, rainy and lousy, almost fresh at only 18/20 C.

Been enjoying my Casa oasis, the Paladar next door, cigars, rum, friends and good reading (Churchill's Cigar) and look forward to Monday when the sign/in for the Partagas Meet begins.

Best cigars so far have been the RA Extra EL 2011, have smoked almost the entire box so far and loved them. Lusitanias with some age, the pre/release Chruchill Gran Reserva, the 1966 Cohiba ( still 2 left ) and for a completely different style the Robaina farm Robustos and the strong, black, farm cigars rolled by Miguel. Amazing.

Thousands of pictures and millions of impressions so far. Still some trips to take from HAV.

Gino : will look out for the Leica ....

OK, down for a cafe con leche and a smoke at the Melia Habana Casa and then lunch at El Aljibe.

glad to hear things are going well.

in the airport lounge right now, waiting to get the green light to board the plane. Looking forward to arriving later on today in Havana.

Have the monte gran reservas ben released yet?

Monday morning I have to go to Immigr. to renew my Cuban visa, might take a while depending on the line, will try to catch up with you at Melia Habana / but will be at Partagas at noon with Maverick to get the dinner tickets,meet you there at Partagas and then a lunch cigar.

Weather better now but rainy and cool 18 c this morning. Cigars are good though ......

Speaking of Canadian brothers Amir should be there by now. His book on the Partagas factory will be coming soon, everyone should have a copy of that.

since yesterday we are having perfect weather here, no humidity, blue skies and a fresh breeze.

Met Amir at El Aljibe for a long lunch and cigars and missed Jazz Cafe last night with him / will meet him and Andy and Art in 2 hrs at Partagas.

Art and his lovely mother and another 2 canadians were with me 2 days ago at my Casa particular for coffee, rum and cigars and I am deeply impressed by Art's humanity and generosity towards his cuban friends, the guy has brought a ton of baby clothes and stuff for his friends, absolutely fantastic !

Having fun, just renewed my visa for another 30 days here......

Meeting Jose in a couple of hours at Partagas and tonight will be the Encuentro de Amigos Welcome Party, held in the Lobby of the Habana Libre Hotel.

Will be lunching with Art and the Canadians on Thursday at Club Habana beach.

There's fun in the city ....
