X2. SRV was a singular talent. I lived most my life in Austin Texas. Had a chance to see his rhythm section (double trouble aka Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton) perform a few times but never Stevie.

When I smoke, cant go wrong with a little Pink Floyd, but I tend to listen to alot of jazzy/acid underground hiphop instrumentals. Man they can really transport you when smoking a cigar.

Craziest thing to explain, but I recently got into listening to The Cars again. A mild favorite of mine back in my teens, but some of their songs really rock! And there are some great live performances on YouTube, especially from the TV show "Midnight Special".

You're All I've Got Tonight

Just What I Needed

Living in Stereo (who can listen to that song and not think of Phoebe Cates getting out of the pool and dropping her top!)

Stevie Ray Vaughan,

Guy, I got to see him and double trouble at a relatively small venue in Boston. Opening act - The Fabulous Thunderbirds with his brother Jimmy :)

Yep. Kim Wilson is a fine harp player.

On a very different note (pun intended) just got back from a concert. Anouar Brahem, an oud player, and his group which consisted of a bass clarinet, electric bass and percussion. Not sure how to classify his music -- Middle-Eastern jazz, maybe. Very enjoyable.
