laficion Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 For our 6th annual get together, our 2 cigar clubs met in the beautiful city of Toulouse in the south west of France and once more shared a 3 day weekend of cigars, fun and laughter with our cigar brothers and sisters. We left Nimes and arrived in Toulouse a little more the 3 hours later, just in time for the guided tour of the city offered by the Toulouse club, picking up some goods for the afternoon lunch and then off to an outside bistro for a few refreshments since the temperature had already reached 28°C=82F. The afternoon was spent visiting some wine domaines then BBQing, finishing off some great bottles and off to get ready for the big night and cigar dinner. As each year, the Toulouse club members lodged all of our members at their homes and refuse that any of us stay at a hotel and of course, we do the same when their club comes to Nimes for the Feria. This year's Cigar dinner was of course a grand success with a great dinner, cigars, (special cigars banded with the logo of the club) with an after dinner Partagas Lusitania and fantastic wines. The evening ended late into the morning and the following days were spent simply enjoying each others company,from one member's home to the other, story telling, smoking more great cigars and sharing great friendship. We parted and said goodbye until the next time we meet in Nimes for our next get toghter and looking forward to sharing again 4 or 5 days painting the town red during the Nimes Feria. With the years ,and all that we have shared together, we are not just 2 cigar clubs meeting each other for an event. Today we have truly become a big family, the cigar is only a tool and the secondary enjoyment of being togther. Here are just a few photos.
