Little update concerning the restaurant situation. Steak house seems to be a no go, prices are to insane. Simon is now looking into a great little french restaurant near his hotel. As for attending memebers i'll post an updated list soon, but we have 20 confirmed with 12 maybe's. once the restaurant situation is done, i will be starting a new thread with all the info for this event.

I'm looking at leaving Friday January 20 and returning Sunday morning. If anyone wants to join me on the train the details are below. The round trip with taxes costs $155.94. Trip times are a little over 5+ hours each way. I'm planning on booking by this Friday.

No, but I asked about whether or not there was an indoor smoking area. No dice. It's OK. I'll just duct tape the door sealed so I can go to town. I'll boil a pig's foot on the stove to mask the odour.

****HOTEL UPDATE****

I was able to work a rate for the traveling BOTL attending the Herf:

Studio with either two double beds or one king bed at 135-139$+tx depending on how many people book.

The hotel where I work is Le Square Phillips

It is a 4 star hotel and located 10 away from the herf venue

The group rate will be under 2011 Montreal Herf starting tomorrow. The reservation line is 1-866-393-1193. Make sure you mention it when you reserve to have the special rate. If for some reason you can't make it please cancel it 24h before your arrival.

ALSO

If we book here, we will be able to use our conference room free of charge to hold a "Meet and Greet" prior to dinner. I think this would be a good way to start the night and get to know everybody!

Okay, well, I'm all booked in and reserved for the hotel now. I was a bit surprised to find out that I couldn't get a more discounted price with my government ID - usually, I find I get way discounted costs at hotels now. But, maybe that just speaks to the level of the deal that you were able to arrange for us, Simon.

Thanks again very much for organizing this. Can't wait. Now I just have to talk the Mrs. into attending!

Edit: So just to be clear, I am in for the Friday night pre-herf as well. Unfortunately, I just sold (yes, sold!) my remaining Visions but I should be able to scrounge up a couple of Gurkhas and maybe even a Rocky Patel or two for the people that really need to be punished (or that are too drunk to notice)

Lululemon - LOL. Lots of that already in Montreal! Pretty much everywhere you turn, there's some very nice lasses walking by wearing that skin-tight loveliness. Man oh man, I love me some Montreal tail in those outfits!

Too bad this'll be in January, and they'll all be wearing parkas! LOL.
