I'm a lot more excited about the Upmann half-corona, and generally not a fan of big RG cigars, so this one isn't high on my list.

However, if the feedback on this is positive, I will probably end up buying a 5-pack to put away for a while.

I'll get a 5 pack, regardless of reviews :P I'm sure people will end up warming to these. As much as I like me some long and skinnies, for ever 2 people on this forum that shout that everything above 50 RG are jawbreaking donkey c*cks, there are 5 people out there buying these orally hazardous pleasure sticks :P

But I do agree with the general consensus that the half corona is something to look forward to more.

Not likely. Generally not a fan of anything over 50 ring guage, so plenty of other smokes to spend my hard earned on...

I'm surprised it took this long for HSA to bring something to market that matches with American tastes (in vitolas, anyway). The first time I saw a 60 ring gauge cigar I thought it would be the epitome of slow, smooth burning, and therefore desirable. But I can't handle the obscene jaw-breakers. I do enjoy a robusto from time to time, but I find torps are easier to manage when you're going for a big cigar. In any case, I'm now in the market for PCs, lonsdales and grand coronas if I can afford them (plus belicosos, the odd robusto, etc).

However, I bet after 5 years a big Party jawbreaker would be something to behold, and if I got one as a gift, damn sure I'd enjoy it.
