Just a reminder to all FOH friends that are getting hit by this heat wave. Make sure you spray down your AC unit. Use the garden hose to spray away all the dirt and pollen that is stuck in the tiny fins. It can make a huge difference by allowing the AC unit to run more efficiently and make that air cold! Most of all, don't work outside if you really don't need to. You can't enjoy a cigar in the hospital recovering from heat stroke! :)

Am watching heat wave results on the headline news now. People suffering heat stroke, long, LONG lines at water stations, and so on. Thanks for the tip and all.

Good tips Maron. So, what kind of temps are you folks experiencing? We're close to 90F up here in Toronto.

16th straight day of 100+, but luckily we aren't experiencing the high humidity that many of you are. Just another summer in Texas. We know it's hot here when you can't cool off in your pool because the water is above 90 degrees.

95 with 90% humidity today. Supposed to be close to 100 with similar humidity the rest of the week. I had a cigar under the gazebo out in the back yard this afternoon and it was HOT!

My brother in-law does cement and I would help him occasionally before I screwed my back up. This humidity is what kills ya, it makes it hard to breath.

It won't be long before it is our turn down here in OZ ,my cigar consumption plummets during winter

But having said that in summer over here in the west very day seems like a 100 or over during summer it can be quite brutal but today is nice 20 d cel slightly cloudy not bad for the middle of winter î•

Cheers OZ :D

P.S keep cool

My family lives in Minnesota. 101 there yesterday I think they said, plus very humid. And their AC broke the day before! Horrible! I'm glad I don't have any stogies there anymore.
