bc8436 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 The weather is finally nice again and lately, I'm beginning to think about getting some tubos. I do have a 3-cigar travel case but it's a little bulky to carry around. Now, a tubo, I could literally stash it in my pocket and have a smoke handy wherever I go! I haven't bought any tubos in a while so any insight to how they're doing lately would be fantastic. These are the tubos I had in mind. Thanks for the help folks. Siglo I/II Mag 46/50 Punch Punch Partagas P2 RyJ Churchill
Puros Y Vino Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I only have a couple of Tubos in my humi. RyJ Short Churchills (always great) Partagas Coronas Sr (very tasty! and relatively cheap)
tmac77 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I very rarely stock any Tubo's unless gifted to me. Having said that, I have enjoyed the Mag 46 in a tubo format and I have heard good things about the Monte Edmundo Tubo 3 packs in the regular and petit vitolas
thechenman Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I don't think you can go wrong with the Cohiba Siglo I & II Tubos. Same could be said for the Bolivar No. 2 & No. 3 Tubos. I'm also a fan of the H. Upmann Magnum 50 in the Tubo format. While the Romeo y Julieta Churchills have been poor of late, I do prefer those in the Tube as well.
CaptainQuintero Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 RyJ Short Churchills (always great) +1 2011 have been excellent cigars
riazp Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 RyJ short churchill and Monte Edmundo gets my vote. Great cigars in the tubo format.
bc8436 Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 +12011 have been excellent cigars Hmm, I've never actually tried these before. Sound intriguing, might have to add them to the list
drake2k Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 RyJ Churchill Tubos have been great lately. IMO Siglo VI Tubos are impossible to beat. Partagas P2 Tubos are also very nice. Had one yesterday.
321contact Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I had Siglo II tubos many times. Was normally a good cigar. I dont recall getting any "bad" ones.
Scdalak Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Cant beat the Punch Punch Tubo, always have a 10 Pack around. Also, a very mild creamy and under estimated summer smoke for me is the R & J Tubo #3... One of my favorites, small, compact and a 30 min smoke.
jdbrown Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Recently purchased Tubos for canoe trip. D4, P2 and Sig V were all excellent and D4 was best ive had from any box period. Dark and dripping! Punch Punch in Tubo are better than my Cab from 06! Sig II's have found to be very good as well!
Mr.T Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 if you can find them, I second the Upmann Monarchs suggestion!
