Six months have passed by since I smoked my previous Ramon Allones Belicoso RE Germany LRE MAR10 from the box 1810/2000. So, it's time to check how they are doing. I set Sting's Nothing Like The Sun to the turntable and pour Coke to the glass.

Tobacco with perfume as cold scent. Different than last time - much better, actually superb! And, also some citrus. Spending 15 minutes smelling the cigar, it is so wonderful - stunning, should I say. If I could only attach the smell to this review...

Cutting gently with scissors. Draw is a bit on the tight side from medium - nice. Cold taste pure tobacco. Firing it up.

First puff: "Oh.My.Dear.God!" Strong nutty and toasted tobacco with hints of perfume. I'm smoking an exceptional quality cigar! Toasted bread and cocoa. Have to close my eyes. Burning is uneven, a little disturbing. White pepper is sneaking in. Some sweet hay. Ginger. Toffee. If this was a blind test, I would say the cigar is more than five years old quality Partagas.

Strong pepper. Toasted heavy tobacco. Sweet tarry tobacco with pepper. A bumblebee flew in from the open door and tried to eat the smoke... :) Some clove.

Dark chocolate and ginger. Some saltiness. Cream with toasted tobacco. Youth of the cigar starts to get noticeable. Heavily toasted coffee beans. A hint of pear. Salty toasted tobacco. A hint of Scotch whisky. Burnt salty wood. Some marzipan. Burnt my fingers. WOW!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, please put your earplugs on because I want to tell you that THIS IS A MARVELLOUS CIGAR! Simply worth five bright and shiny stars. These should be in regular production. Period. Combustion could be better, but I think time will take care of that issue.

Flavour 4/5, Body 4/5, Strength 5/5. Plus, the blendmaker is a genius.

Sounds great. I'm guessing they aren't available anymore.

Correct - I've been looking :(

...unless you count the one online retailer that has the German RE Humidor with 25 of these plus 25 of the PL Robustos (which I hated, BTW) for the low low price of $1400 :)

That humidor had a MSRP of 750 euros, BTW.

Looks and sounds divine. I love the level of detail on the special release Ramon Allones bands. I like that the regular production bands tend to look kind of crappy and poor though, gives them character, shouts "this brand may not be a big famous name like Cohiba, but these are the kind of cigars that the real cigar smokers love." or something.

You had me at "15 minutes smelling the cigar, it is so wonderful - stunning"

I don't think I could stand waiting to smoke a cigar for that long if it were in my hands.

You should have felt the smell... :)

The only time I was like  over the smell was one I smoked my first p1. It was amazingly pungent, I would open up my desktop and just smell it every day for 20 seconds at a time. It was rather intoxicating I must say so I sort of understand, maybe not 15 mins so perhaps you should send me one and I'll let you know how long I do that before I smoke it :)
