cigarroverzulu Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Very Nice, a young man could get in trouble with a set up like that!
El Presidente Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 I see you have a lovely couch! Next time I am in your neck of the woods I look forward to crashing on it after some serious deliberations on cigars, wine, loves, life
lancerv43 Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Nice looks like a good place to smoke and relax.
ZinZan Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Nice pad Rehman, very cosy. I see you got a smoking chair as well.
Rehman Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 Thank you. And you're most welcome, Rob! The staircase leads to a roof terrace with views of nearby hills by day and distant stars at night.
El Presidente Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Thank you. And you're most welcome, Rob! The staircase leads to a roof terrace with views of nearby hills by day and distant stars at night. I promise to take you up on that! Spending time with good people is the utopia of life.

Rehman Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 This is super... Is this an open invitation to all hehehe All but those who'd have trouble coming down those stairs drunk.

Dbone Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Very nice house Rehman. Looks peaceful and relaxing, not busy. Lots of books I see, have you read anything good recently?
Rehman Posted April 29, 2011 Author Posted April 29, 2011 Lots of books I see, have you read anything good recently? Those are most of the books I've ever read. Wish I could say I've read some good new ones lately, but it's mostly been revisiting old friends and teachers. I find myself becoming more impatient with age - tell me something I don't know, I ask of writers, show me something I haven't seen... or at least, show and tell me the same old things in a fresh new way. Sometimes it happens - Jonathan Franzen, Martin Amis and Peter Carey keep hitting new notes. But otherwise, give me the ancient masters any day or night. (Journalism - my lifelong favourite genre, especially when essayed by novelists and poets - has degenerated. Happy Wedding, Wills&Kate!) And Jim, you're right - I hardly ever go out except for food and other essential supplies. It took a while to get to live in totally cigar-oriented premises!
Rehman Posted April 30, 2011 Author Posted April 30, 2011 The spread just got published: http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/Living_...ckhome/Article/ (p.s. The cigar whose fragrance reminded the reporter of her grandad was a Cohiba Gran Reserva. I needed a fortifying smoke while awaiting their arrival.)
gsmoke Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 So you really smoke Puros Indios? Very nice pad, by the way. Something straight out of my day dreams...
