El Presidente Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 The poll results are starting to get interesting ________________________________________________________________________________ __________ We are progressively finding out which Cuban Cigar has the highest rate of member satisfaction (and the lowest). I will run through the 30 most popular cigars during April and will provide an ongoing chart to see how the cigars stack up. It should go without saying to only vote if you have actually tried one Feel free to post your experiences and thoughts on the thread Todays cigar: Trinidad Robusto T Results to date
CBL Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Always great! And for such a young cigar that makes it extremely promising for the future. Which they weren't so damned expensive though
MoneyPit Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 My box has a MSO JUN 09 date code. I've had one that was underfilled and one that was going through a sick period but other than those two the box has been great. I think they are really starting to turn into something very special and it has been hard to keep my hands off them.
maverickdrinker Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 love these. starting to become a staple in my humidor
Yoruba Hacker Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Outstanding cigars. First batch may turn out to be classics.
Lotusguy Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I have yet to have one that does anything for me - tried 3 different singles from three different boxes so I don't think it was a bad box
Habanakane21 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 not much of an expert on Trinidads. In fact I've had my first 2 out of a box of 12..So far so good.
tmac77 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I tried to smoke only one from an 09 box that got recently but they are so good, that I can't seem to keep my hands off them.
CohibaBehike Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 NEVER had a bad one! This has always been a favorite of mine and it is something that I try to have in my humidor always (but that never seems to happen )
thechenman Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Never had a bad Trini Robusto T. This cigar just does not disappoint.
bassman Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Fantastic cigars. The only Trinidad that really impresses me.
perfectform Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I just don't get this cigar...My $$$ is much better spent elsewhere.
dicko Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I've only had 2 so I probably shouldnt vote but I must say they were bloody good! expense is a drawback though for me right now
JohnnyC Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 One if not my favorite cigar right now. So smooth and creamy....they never have disappointed me.
sg1234 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 IMO this is easily the most overhyped cigar out there. They are not bad, but not great in my experience. They certainly are not cheap either.
archosaur Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Have only had a few, but each was very good. If only I could afford them!
SCgarman Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Good cigar, but for the money I can get 2 boxes of RASS or BRC's so the price point is too expensive for my budget. I do love the REYES though and buy them.
ColKurtz Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Appears that the result of these polls will be: "We like Cuban Cigars." But we already knew that
michael69 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 love trinis overall; the RT is great (generally better than the extra I think), although my faves are the fundadores (old band!)
CanuckSARTech Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Wonderful. A future classic indeed, and one of the constant staples to stay in my humidor from now on, I think. To me, these take some of the best aspects of the CoRo's, and the LGC MdO line, and blend some of these aspects in a tea-like flavour base. Wonderful. But, like others, I agree that the pricepoint does hinder them a bit. And yet, this is one of the few that it appears we're getting quality/value for the dollar from H S.A. in recent releases.
maverickdrinker Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Just cracked open a 2010 box this afternoon. nice flavours. hints of creaminess and a touch of earthiness. enjoyable now however, will be spectacular in a few years.
