tmac77 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Link did not work for me Rob Allthoug I do have some NC's I have never been a fan of the Gurkha's. As for the Black dragon's I saw them at a B&M in Montreal last year so they could not be that rare

rckymtn22 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Note for the writer of the article if he/she ever reads this. The only place the Behike cannot be smoked or purchase is USA. Good to go in the rest of the world

Good to go in the rest of the world +1 Not only that but, technically, any US citizen caught smoking any cuban cigar, even outside US borders, can still be prosecuted.
traded Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Link did not work for me RobAllthoug I do have some NC's I have never been a fan of the Gurkha's. As for the Black dragon's I saw them at a B&M in Montreal last year so they could not be that rare The Black Dragon he is talking about was the original release which was made rare by intentionally limiting production to an absurdly small number. My brother gave me a recent edition black dragon (like 5 $ or so) and it blew balls.
traded Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Just a little article I came acrossBeverly Hills Cigar Club Names Top 5 Most Rare, Sought After Cigars http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/2011...lub-Names-Top-5 So, has anyone had a The Gurkha "Black Dragon" or Goldwin Tobacco's "Louixs." ? Im so confused about the prices he quoted. The BHK is 470 for 10 while the others are prices for singles. I have had 3 of the 5 on the list and kinda have no problem with those 3 being up there but they have to be accompanied by the Cohiba and Monte GR's no?
danclough Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 +1Not only that but, technically, any US citizen caught smoking any cuban cigar, even outside US borders, can still be prosecuted. Can's U.S. citizens bring a box back if they go to Cuba?
melies Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Well the article didn't quote the guantanameras I sell for 1000000 pounds a stick, I am sure those are the most expensive cigars!!! Any takers?
lancerv43 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Can's U.S. citizens bring a box back if they go to Cuba? Nope can't bring back any Cuban goods because of the good old trade embargo.
Peter11216 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 What a load of s@#t, This guy is aq complete moron. He is probably smoking a white owl while making this list. I laughed aloud reading that, Rock. Thanks! Now I'm imagining Vin Lee, CEO, Beverly Hills Cigar Club (BHCC) with a Dutch Masters Corona Grape 7/11 special - on the phone to the reporter, "Yeah, that's right, the Cohiba Behike costs $470, and can only be smoked in Europe and Cuba legally . . . What's that? Yeah, right it can't be smoked legally anywhere else in the Caribbean, Latin America, Autrailia . . . anywhere else in the world for that matter, just Cuba and Europe! I know that because I'm Vin Lee, CEO of the Beverly Hills Cigar Club. Other great cigars are marketing gimmicks by Gurkha, and the Opus X for $35 . . . no I'm not going to mention a vitola or particular year or line for that. It's just a cigar for $35." Either Vin Lee is a fan of White Owl and Captain Morgan Spice Rum and Coke, or the reporter is an idiot . . . or both, I suppose. Best, Peter
Peter11216 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 So, has anyone had a The Gurkha "Black Dragon" or Goldwin Tobacco's "Louixs." ? This guy has: According to the website, "The BHCC was also chosen to launch and be the exclusive distributor of Grand Met’s line of Goldwin cigars, a signature blend for the discerning palate of our members. " So I suppose you'll have to go to Beverly Hills to find out about the "Louixs". I'm just thinking now . . . I really don't mean to be insulting to Mr. Lee, if he should be a member of FoH. It's all in good fun if I ask our Australian members if could be a wanker, or a tosser? All in Good Fun, Pete

Yoruba Hacker Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 You would think that the 1492 or a Dunhill Cabinetta would make the list wouldn't you?

A self important one at that.Love the sense of egotistical exclusivity that sometimes comes with our hobby. I've got some Henri Wintermans somewhere,if he wants to secure this highly prized cigar.
Habanos2000 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 The Monte Open line seems PERFECT for the Beverly Hills market!
sblevit Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I live 3 miles from Bev Hills and have never heard of this joker or his *** little club. Interestingly, the marketing address on his website is like six blocks from me (i.e., not in Bev Hills) and there does not appear to be any physical club facility (although you can be a member of the club for $50K a year -- what?).
cigcars Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 LOL @ this list. What the hell is "Goldwin Tobacco" *It's probably just a "Ted's" in the cardboard sleeve box.
investandprosper Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 LOL! It's the most private, exclusive membership in the world. The next sentence starts with Join.
PigFish Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 So, has anyone had a The Gurkha "Black Dragon" or Goldwin Tobacco's "Louixs." ? I had one but a girl named Monica took it in payment for staining her dress! - the Pig
