jfire Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Same box code, month and year in the humi. With out a doubt one of the best boxes in the humi right now. Little bit of habanos pixie dust sprinkled in these boxes imo. Nice review gents.
LeafLover Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Cao Ila is an excellent Islay Sigle Malt. Rob, come on. Say it, the 898V is "THA BOMB!"
PLUSH Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I'm expecting Rob to take this cigar and a box of tissues and head off to a room by himself
CBL Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Hahaha pissing off of the deck again Finally had my first last month (an '08) and gonna get a box of 10 in the coming days. Great review!
dicko Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Cao Ila is an excellent Islay Sigle Malt.Rob, come on. Say it, the 898V is "THA BOMB!" Ken was on fire with this one.
shrink Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 This is the cigar against which all Partagas vitolas are measured. This is the cigar against which all Dalias are measured.
Habanakane21 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I too have the same box code and month. Outstanding smoke. Slowly working through it. More slowly than most...cause I know these are a winner..(just like Charlie Sheen) I think I saw Ken blush when he was given the option of Sex or an 898. But Ken got Rob back by pushing record when Rob was watering the vegetation. Good work as usual gentlemen!
mazolaman Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Great review,of a classic Cuban cigar. Nice drop of whisky too. Islay is pronounced eyeler. Do Kenny's neighbours not get "pissed off" with the balcony toilet routine?
aavkk Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 o man, looking forward to indulging in a few of these. Rob, please resist turning the rest of that box to ash for at least the next 5 days.
Omskakas Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I smoked 898V from 09 earlier this week. Delicious!
ckearns Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Great review as always and it was nice to see you pairing a cigar and scotch together for a change (btw, Islay is pronounced 'Eye-La'). Cheers guys!
riderpride Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Defiling the garden, or finishing up on his love-fest with the 898. I'm surprised you were able to walk Prez!
jmasterj Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I'm waiting for my PSP box of 898s Rob. I hope Lisa passed on the message. You're not smoking them in this video are you?
Habanos2000 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I picked up a 10 ct box of 898's last year for the first time and fell in love with them right away. I have another box sitting in my humidor, I've only had one of them so far, and again, they don't disappoint! Love this cigar!
thechenman Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I picked up a 10 ct box of 898's last year for the first time and fell in love with them right away. thechenman Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Ah...one of the best Habanos in production and my favorite cigar in the Partagas marca. Sometimes the Lusi gets close though.
cgarner Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I've been dieing to pick up a box, but 2 weddings, one wedding anniversary, and one large vacation has drained by budget. Next year maybe.
mazolaman Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 so,take your pick from the three potential pronunciations of Islay......
frenchkiwi Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 good banter. always interested to hear %seco ligero volado. got a box of these from '05 and its like someone forgot the ligero. haven't tried them in a couple of years though. most of all, i must side with Rob here on the pissing off the balcony. I love doing it myself, generally in the middle of the night after a good cigar... Oh the Freedom, the Joy, of Pissing on the World from on High. (and the thrills when you hear late night revellers about to walk past your house and have to zip it without injury ha ha).
El Presidente Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 For the 1000th time... Kens guest bathroom is currently blocked by a cardboard formation which rivals the Great Wall of China in scale. I am not permitted to use his ensuite. Left with little choice unless I carry a jar
