Hi,

James Suckling launched his new Web site. In his blog, you'll find info on cigars.

For Guy, and other that speak the "langue de Molière", here are a few interview video clips in French of M. Suckling filmed during his last visit to Montreal for a wine tasting and rating session at the Société des Alcools du Québec (state liquor board). Bon visionnement les amis!

Aside from his very thick American accent, I must admit his french is very good.

He gets his message through with a nicely painted view and landscape of his passion. Well done James.

I can understand why he left CA, he's become too European. :D

I cant listen to him. Something about the way he talks and his pompous accent that grate on me. He is even more annoying when talking about wine and his off the cuff scoring. I am 80 points on him!

Good luck to the man...

agreed.

what we unfortunately seem to have here is what we, in oz, call the tall poppy syndrome.

Not sure, but if I was a winemaker being interviewed by someone who would ask a question and start typng away on his keyboard and ignoring what im' saying, would probably politely ask him politely to F*@#@ off , but I guess that's just me.

Guy 93 points?! seriously!

With the risk of sounding like a hater: anyone who speaks French with such a heavy American tongue has a questionable palate... Wow.
