El Presidente Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Nice one Lise Your classic 1979 ‘Tribottle rag’ helmet – a must in any type of combat A late 80’s ‘boxhat’. The bloke next to him doesn’t appear too sure of its effectiveness A renaissance period piece of brickwear teamed with a black and cream scarf. Textbook Im not sure that tuna sarnie he is about to lob is gonna cause to much destruction. Old skool 80’s broken bin helmet. I personally love the fact he needs to lift it up to see – does he spend the rest of the time walking in to things?? Textbook saucepaning with lifejacket combo. He does not take, ANY!! I literally have no idea what this is. And the winner by 100 miles. This bloke is going to war with 2 baguettes strapped to his ears and a ham salad roll sellotaped to his forehead. I’d def wanna be behind him if someone lobs a load of bricks at me.
tmac77 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 toooo much Rob...I was already in stiches before I got to mr bagette and then completely lost it. Now my wife has lost it also. Had to wait a good 10 min or so before I could post this.
asmith Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I love the last guy, just incase he gets hungry during the riot, how is he going to explain to his wife what he did with his lunch
Matt Day Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 i think the bread would be useful if they were throwing gravy but in all serouisness give me the sauce pan any day
Fuzz AI Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 BaguetteMan is doing it all wrong. He's going to be recognised wearing just that. To complete the head gear and be fully disguised, he needs to put on a baklava!
Habanakane21 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Cracking up with the Pot and the yarn chin strap!
PigFish Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Demonstrating the proper use of headcheese!
CanuckSARTech Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Demonstrating the proper use of headcheese! He's auditioning for the next round of Subway fast-food commercials.... "Five....five....five-dollar, fooooooot-longgggssss!!!!"

Montaigut Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Cheap shots from comfortable chairs folks...
Fuzz AI Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 If you must mix religion with the right to freedom at least get your facts right bro.The reference to virgins, not universally accepted by scholars, mentions the number 72. I'd hate for this to start going down the path of all previous topics regarding religion, politics, etc. Let's just take a step back and read the post how it was intended, a little harmless joke. If you're offended by it, close the post and open up another more to your liking. There's plenty else to read.

Not offended mate: dissappointed. These folks showed incredible courage and deserve better than cheap shots from the gallery. And you are right, there is plenty else to read.

I found it genuinely chuckle worthy akin to Kens umpa lumpa fly fishing outfit!
CigarB Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I thought he was a rabid NFL fan signaling touchdown. Just couldn't place what team he was cheering for, Packers are the cheese heads, not sure about bread heads. But if the two got together and could find a wine head they'd be all set for a tailgate!

The thread topic aside, I'm always interested to see how members view the forum - as a place to post and read information, a place to have conversations, a little of both, somewhere in between.......
cigcars Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Cheap shots from comfortable chairs folks... *BLESS YOU, my open minded empathetic BOTL and friend!
El Presidente Posted February 15, 2011 Author Posted February 15, 2011 I am almost afraid to go to sleep these days I have tidied the thread up. A fair bit of work went into some posts so I should probably apologise for deleting them. I won't. I encourage all members to read threads in the spirit in which the were posted. If a thread is posted with an absence of malice but you vehemently disagree with the content, give "Benefit of the Doubt" and let it go. I have 5 messages in my PM box on this subject. Two are disappointed. Two are supportive. One I can't quite work out. Let it go. Give a "Benefit of the Doubt". No offence is intended. No racial/religious slurs made or insinuated. If God forbid we ever have to go to the streets here in similar circumstances and Ken turns up with a pot on his head, I would look at him and say "Ken...seriously" It was a chuckle people. Some will chuckle along, some will consider it a cheap shot against a desperate people in desperate times. There was no intent in the latter and I did not expect it albeit I perhaps should have. You guys know me well enough to cut a break.
