Activision A scene from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2010 depicts an assassination attempt against Cuba leader Fidel Castro -- and drew the ire of Cuba's state-run news. The most highly anticipated first-player shooter video game of the year, "Call of Duty: Black Ops," begins with a controversial mission in which players try to kill a young Fidel Castro in 1960s Havana. Scenes like that and others drew harsh criticism Wednesday from Cuba, which said the new video game was violent, glorified the assassination -- and will turn American children into sociopaths. The island's state-run media also took a dig at the CIA's real-life efforts to do in the island's revolutionary leader, who has survived dozens, perhaps hundreds, of attempts on his life. "What the United States couldn't accomplish in more than 50 years, they are now trying to do virtually," said an article posted on Cubadebate, a state-run news website.

JohnnyO Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Very few PS3 and Wii on the island, the format used by most in Cuba is PS2. So they probably won't see much of it. I'm sure someone is pirateing the PS3 version to convert it to PS2. It wil be #1 for Christmas. John

John Geesh, maybe I should bring a couple of these games and PS3 consoles with me when I come there in January/February. But, then again, wouldn't want to get turned back at the border. I hate when that happens. Bster, Colt, Pres - all very funny comments, had me busting a gut!!!!
