Can someone please explain the Partagas line of small cigars? It is a bit confusing to me, I've smoked a few, however, what's the major differences other than size? Price point?

Corona, Jr. & Sr.

De Luxe

Aristocrats - never heard of these, has anyone smoked?

Habaneros

Mille Fleur

PCE

Princess

Shorts

Thanks, D

There's a lot of info and details to be laid out for all of these.

I recommend you look up the Partagas section in the MRN Encyclopaedia, as he's got some great specifics in there for these. If you can't get yourself a copy, see if someone near you has one, or if you local b&m or maybe even library has one for you to look through.

It wouldn't be viable for me to re-type all that info here. Sorry.

This is gonna' sound snotty but I assure you it is not. Every man tastes with his own mouth, not that of another man. Many of these cigars are inexpensive (relative to other CC's) and buying 3 or 5 of each (of what is still produced and available) should not break you. Buy them, taste them, come back here and share the experience. You will be a better man for it.

I myself prefer the Party Short and for a real short cheapy, the Chicos. The best in class (IMHO) was the Partagas PC. Thanks again H SA! -Piggy

*I've had the Milles Fleur (as a 42 ring gauge is really cutting it close as far as small cigars for me) and it was wonderful. Great havana flavor, familiar maple & raisins aroma, and lasted a very nice amount of time (about 45min.) I plan on ordering more :2thumbs:

I've smoking since the early 90's, I typically stick to what I know those cigars that grab my attention. Cohiba III, IV,VI, Lance, & Esplendidos, for Partagas, D4, P2, & Lusitanias. I don't venture to far away from the list. But lately, I'm wanting a shorter smoke with some power or refinement.

I noticed quite a few Partagas in a relative size range; listed in my first post. Seems strange to me for to have so many in the corona /half/Demi range. The beauty of the forum is staying ahead of the curve on taste profiles and similiar experiences. More so curiosity than anything else. I've had a box of Shorts ( a little to harsh for me, although the power is nice) and PCE.

Why then just Partagas? There is the RASCC, the El Prin., the M-5 and D-5, the du Depute if you can find them. There are a lot of good sub-PC cigars for the finding. -Piggy

I wonder if any libraries do have the MRN book...hope the PC crew don't find out...
