El Presidente Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Dropped into the local wine store this afternoon. Travis and Tony were in stitches of laughter...ken had just left. Apparently.....as they were loading wine into ken's car....they pointed out the back windshield rubber of his BMW. It has managed to separate slightly from the back glass...and coming from ken's place....has managed to fill with leaves and general compost. A tree was growing out of it Ken...the greenie.
MIKA27 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Or perhaps that was an added option as I know BMW are trying to be "ECO" friendly!
Fuzz AI Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Or perhaps that was an added option as I know BMW are trying to be "ECO" friendly! Yep. Similar to Saab's idea of planting 17 trees for every car sold. Ken should swap it out for a grapevine, so he can make his own wine!
Omskakas Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 LMAO! First cowebs, now this. Your friend, Ken, is something special, isn't he?
MIKA27 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I'm beginning to have my suspicions that Ken may be a house trained Susquach that still on occasion, enjoys his "Creature comforts" such as the spiders and now BMW windshield tree!
Warren Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 The cultivation of bonsi is a fine and cultured pastime , Ken just found a way to take his hobby on the road.
Ken Gargett Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Dropped into the local wine store this afternoon. A tree was growing out of it Ken...the greenie. it is deadset impossible for you to tell the truth. i pointed it out to trav. harper was nowhere near it and never saw it. it was a cute little plant aopprox a centimetre long. it was the edge of the boot and nowhere near the glass. no general compost. and i did have a green day today, as reported to rob, running around today packing and desparately trying to get organised for fraser. dashed out on the balcony to water a few plants. WHOOOSSSH. kookaburra flies in and lands right next to me. i move up the balcony and it follows me. i go back and back it comes. four or five times it follows me (this must be what it is like having a friend, or a stalker).i go inside, it sits there for quite a while before leaving. i go back and back it comes. another one sits in a nearby tree but won't come close. i get it another frozen pilchard (worked last time) but it has learnt its lesson. will let me scratch its beak with it but will not take it. i leave. it sits there. eventually i cut some of the pig fat it have stored for some of the guys for the trip - they use it for stock or something. bird loves it. spends a lot of time belting the hell out of i against the balcony railing to soften it. then off it goes. see you all in a week.
Kangaroo495 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Ken, maybe it thought you were a tree or something..? Judging by Prez's stories, you're getting greener and greener..
Warren Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Have a great trip mate. Would you like us to water and trim the BMW while you're away.
Colt45 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 desparately trying to get organised for fraser. who's fraser?

Ken... We know Rob is full of dingo droppings! But I gotta' tell you Mate, sometime I believe him even more after you post your side!!! -LOL Have a nice trip! -R
Kangaroo495 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 So when Ken's car breaks down, does he go to the mechanic or to the horticulturist?
Ben Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 who's fraser? I imagine he's planning a trip to Fraser Island. A pretty special place indeed. It's Beemer Ken, not Treemer.
CigarmanTim Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Ken can probably get a combination discount from his yard grass/weed company. When they're out spraying his grass just get the car sprayed.
nonameno Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Hello Gentlemen, I was thinking how fun it would be if Smitty could get his camera out and take a picture of Ken's 'green' wonder car? Thank you, Curtiss
Colt45 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I imagine he's planning a trip to Fraser Island. fraser has his own island?
laficion Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Have a great time Ken, enjoy yourself Have a safe trip and see you soon on the forum
